    Almost....

23/9/14 with a block and 4 steals. I've seen LeBron get within 1-2 boards or assists of a trip-dub about 4 times this year....he never goes for it. There were two instances where he could have went up strong for a rebound in the 4th, but he let Gooden have it. If he was a stat-stuffer, he could average close to a trip-dub, IMO.

So you're saying that if he really wanted to he could get a few extra rebounds and pass to an open teammate more often but right now it doesn't suit his fancy. Does that mean he's holding back now? Averaging a near triple double for the season is near impossible only 1 guy has pulled it off. Lebron's great but he ain't that great. You can pad you're scoring by taking 40 shots but it's a little more difficult to pad assists and rebounds. KG ,Duncan or Shaq could do it alot easier if they kicked the ball out 3/4 of the time to get assists.

Maybe not average a triple double for the season, but I do think he could have gotten a triple double by now if he really wanted it.

            I believe he could average a triple-double.

No my friend, I'm not saying he could average a trip-dub...I'm saying that he often gets close, but never goes out of his way to get the few extra at the end of the game. He has never been held to single-digit scoring this season, so thats easy.

Lets look at how much time has been left to go for a triple double (boards/assists) in the last month...

                12/02 v. Denver - 8/9 (with 4 minutes left)
                12/13 v. Memphis - 8/7
                12/15 v. Portland - 11/7 (last assist was 3 sec left in 3rd quarter)
                12/16 v. Detroit - 9/7 (with 5 minutes left)
                12/22 v. NJ - 9/9 (with 3:31 left - got last board with 8:81 left)
                12/26 v. NO - 9/14 (with 10 minutes left)

If he was trying, he could have gotten triple doubles in any one of those games. He had plenty of time to get the 1-2 boards or assists neccessary in every one of those contests. Hell, he had 8 minutes to get one lousy board tonight...yet, as usual, he never goes out of his way to pad his stats. If its not in the flow, he doesn't pursue it. Alot of guys in this league with 25/9/9 with 3 minutes left would go for that one board and assists, irreguardless of the game situation....LeBron is not one of those guys. All I'm sayin'.

Hey is that a shot at Ricky Davis? You mean you weren't impressed
when good ole Ricky missed that layup so he could pick up his own rebound with like 3 seconds left when they were ahead by 20.

That was so stupid...I was embarrassed as a Cavs fan.

Yeah but you gotta admit he's the clown prince of Bball now. Watching him miss that dunk last week that ended up in the 3rd row was classic.

How the Cavs managed to pedal him off to Boston was a stroke of genious. Danny Ainge has to be the stupidest man in sports.
