Lakers have two games left vs Clippers that is going to be big and also 1 vs Kings. I am expecting Clippers to slip and I known they have not really yet but it has not been that long sense the trade happend game wise but at the same time between like Kings, Lakers and Clippers the Clippers have like by far the easiest schedule.

Lol, getting 2 techs and ejection from same conversation.

Marc Davis has ejected 4 Raptors, 2 diff coaches, in less than a year span lol.
NBA refs are by far the worst but I think NHL refs are the 2nd worst then NFL and then MLB. MLB are like the only really good ones. The bad thing is in the last like 10 years or so I think NBA refs have gotten better but yet still suck.

AD sitting out tonight against the Lakers, lol. Can't wait to see the stories that are created from this.

Probably nothing more than an unfortunate coincidence but the optics certainly look bad. Then again, the entire AD sage has been a mess so this is fitting.

We're coming off the All-Star break and he only played 20 minutes last night. This is such a bad look all around.

This is just a lark of course, but if AD really wanted to force the Pels sit him out for the rest of the season despite the fine by the NBA, he would stand up and clap for Lakers when they make good plays tonight.

Nah it's not a coincidence, he's not playing because of "rest". Curious who made the decision though...

On the contrary NBA refs are the best of the four major sports. They have to be in top shape to be able to keep up with the furious pace of the game. NBA players are the best athletes in the world (and have been for the past 60 years) and the split second decisions are incredibly complicated. The sheer volume of calls that NBA refs must make easily trump the other three sports.

When Portland gets scoring from their forwards they can play with any team in the league.

Aminu and Harkless lack the creative handles to create their own shots consistently.
Portland is always a fun watch though. Lots of cutting, curling, hand-offs, and down screens. All good ways to generate open jumpers. Terry Stotts knows how to run an offense.

Yep, lots of Pistol, pin down screens, hand-off, curling and even a little back door.

                      I love Terry Stotts.

Not all teams have the Pellys personnel but they'll be mimicking their defensive gameplan against Portland in last years playoffs. Shrinking the floor and making Dame and CJ beat them with their shot making.

I want to see how Stotts has adjusted.

Ferry did say they would start monitoring/decreasing Davis’ minutes after the break anyway.

And considering there hasn’t been any pushback from above him, I’m guessing ownership is ok with it.

I think apart of that issue is what AlexBrady mentioned. Having more ballhandlers than those two that can generate shots.

I think Rodney Hood has been a strong plus for them this year, and so has to a lesser degree, Jake Layman.

They'll need to keep making moves like that to the roster to have more success.

I like Layman’s game a lot. Hood is obviously a very talented player, he just has a habit of randomly disappearing. And not for a few plays but a whole damn game. If he’s consistent in the playoffs it could be a big plus for them.

Really wish Portland had tried this.
The Magic need a point guard to help develop their young bigs; the Trail Blazers need a better pick-and-roll partner for Damian Lillard. Let’s make this happen!
