What the f*ck man. I literally just turned to the game to watch the end and saw the injury. That's the third time I've seen that happen live.

That was rough man. Seems like we’re having at least one of these kind of gruesome injuries a year in the league.

I know it wasn't on purpose. But did anybody else see the ref trip over Nurkic ankle? Like damn man.

Right? I’m trying to figure out what’s going on here. I swear in all the basketball I watched between 1950 and 2013 I never really saw an injury like this. Now I feel like I’ve seen five since Kevin Ware (including one awful rec league incident).

Edit: I feel like I should acknowledge the Shaun Livingston incident because that was brutal as well, but I was more talking about these insane tibila, fibula, ankle situations.

Wish I hadn’t seen that. Gets worse every time.

                    Re: 3/19 - 3/25 Games Discussion Thread

This article from the MJS puts the sitting out games for Giannis in perspective. I'm afraid if I link, you won't be able to read without a subscription:

So while it is concerning the 24-yearold has dealt with intermittent knee soreness and pain for nearly two years, advancements in training, treatments and awareness can preserve his health and keep him going.

And those advancements explain why the Milwaukee Bucks have held Antetokounmpo out in a couple of games this year for his knee and ankle.

In fact, Antetokounmpo’s health is so important, the Bucks value it more than winning down the stretch to secure a No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

“We’re trying to base decisions more on how Giannis feels,” said Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer. “How he’s looking. … It’s much more about his health … and how is his body feeling, overall.”

If this is the case, the Bucks have two more back to backs, one vs the Nets on April 1st. I highly doubt Giannis plays in those second games, but we will see.

I haven't seen a good replay. But what exactly happen to his leg. The only angle I can find is the boardcast verison. And the other injures similar to this one. Has always been weird pressure points applied to the calf area. Like PG (the basket) or Gordon (his leg caught underneath him).

Who’s leg are you asking about? Cause the Shaun Livingston one was absolutely brutal and if you haven’t seen a good replay of it I would recommend keeping it that way.

I've seen Shaun injury. Yeah, it's nasty. But last night's injury seem very different. Did he come down on someone foot? Didn't make sense.

Nurk broke his leg. It was as bad as I thought it was. Was hoping I was wrong.
