Freethrow Help button-When it's ON, I see nothing, whats up?

I turn on free throw help and it supposedly only takes a button to shoot Ft's, live style I assume. But it just seems, nohing appears really and I miss more FT's. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

Naw its like taking a regular jumpshot. You have to release it at the right time. I guess the stats affect the accuracy of the shot but you have to press the button at the optimum release point.

I read somwhere that it kinda makes you shoot accurately as the real players would for instance, Shaq would probably suck at the line if you used him.

Live has the cross with one ball going horizontally and then the next ball going vertically. You try to stop them as close to the middle as possible.

I just started playing with FT help ON last night and I actually prefer it now over using the analog sticks. The players make or miss based on their real life FT%'s. It's the same way it works when you're shooting non-FT shots. A good 3pt shooter will make more 3pt's than a guy that sucks from downtown, and this is without you having to use the analog sticks to line up some arrows when you shoot, like in the default FT mode.

Something that was starting to get on my nerves using the analogs on FT's was that the misses are always off the right or left of the rim. I don't think I saw a single "close" type of miss where it rimmed out or fell short or long. I haven't played many games yet with the "No FT help" mode, and I don't get fouled very much (except for end-of-the-game intentional foul situations), so I haven't shot many FT's in this mode, but I would think that you'll get a better variety of types of misses in this mode, which adds even more realism. Let's face it, all FT misses aren't just where the shots are perfectly long, just off-center. They are just as likely to be too short or too long, which produces numerous types of misses.
