    Arcade vs. Sim Issue SOLVED

I have been playing back and forth between the 2 since I read this last night and was honestly feeling nothing different between the two.

Then I switched FATIGUE to ON. (It is defaulted OFF and maybe when some people have been changing their preferences they have been toggling this one too)

It made all the difference in the world.

So, to clarify, you don't need to switch between arcade and simulation at all, just use the default settings but go to GAMEPLAY SETTINGS and change FATIGUE to ON. You will notice an immediate difference in the feel of the game, and the nice thing is you can do this at any point during gameplay so you can try going back and forth as often as you like to feel the difference. As the players tire the game gets even slower.

Personally I am fine with the speed, it keeps my heart racing and the excitement level high, but if you are craving a more sim-like feel, this is your ticket.

*NOTE: It also seems like the Players are less likely to dunk and shoot a much lower percentage as the get tired, so that also gives the game a much more sim-like feel. Now we can have the best of both worlds! 2K3 is going on Ebay this afternoon if anyone is interested.

I guess it also stands to reason that with FATIGUE on, the players are less likely to do the big swat blocks and steal the ball, if EA tied all that logic into this one factor.

    Crazy, really.

um....i see what you are trying to say...i don't wanna burst your bubble cuz you're a good poster...but i don't think that's the reason. i always played with fatigue on with every sports game i play...on both sim and arcade...it was the same with this game. i only saw the diff when i put it on *arcade*
