Re: The Official Lebron James Thread

Was it just me, or were the Cavs REALLY trying to get Lebron that last assist tonight? I mean, it was 6-8 possesions where he passed up open shots, trying to get that assist.

I know that he has not forced the issue throughout this season, and this was only one game, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

    Congragulations for 2 in a row LJ23.

Eh, this isn't like Ricky Davis purposely missing at the OTHER teams basket to win. Yeah, the Cavs were trying to get Lebron that LAST assist, but I don't think in anyway was it wrong, b/c the Cavs had to shoot, they couldn't have run the game out or anything. If Lebron had been going for 50 points, and he could run out the clock, and tomahawked dunked it, I'd of been offended for showing up the other team, but eh, I think we judge athletes to harshly when we nitpick. Although if the game had less the 24 seconds left, and they tried to score, that would have been wrong, but as it was, the Cavs ran the clock down on the LAST possession of the game, I highly doubt James would have gone for the assist if that was the case. Good game, for James, and the Cavs.

            yuh don't say...............

            Just a question.
            Weren't they up by 16!?!?!

Just say it he forced it...hell he got it on a three pointer from big Z.

why was he still in the game? I think Silas should have put his health over his stats but whatever.

            Good for him

It was more like the end of the rookie/soph game last season...the game was over and both the bench and the CROWD were cheering for him to get it. The crowd erupted when Z finally hit that shot.

Trust me, LeBron could have had at least 8-9 triple doubles if he wanted to get them...

I agree, Lebron could easily have 8 or 9 more, that's being conservative. I'm surprised that more people aren't upset, being that good athletes tend to draw haters, deserved or not. I do think Silas should have taken Lebron out with a minute or two left, but Silas has earned the right to do as he pleases, he's a coach of the year candidate.
