Jordan took 2279 shots compared to Oakley 1052 and Paxson 793 in 1986 (led the league by over 300 shots for the year)
1998 shots compared to Oakley 776 Corzine 716 in 1987 (led the league by 150 shots of Nique)
1795 shots compared to Pippen 867 Cartright 768 in 1988 (2nd in league, 80 behind English)
1964 shots compared to Pippens 1150 Grants 853 in 1989 (led the league by 300 over Ewing)
1837 shots compared to Pippens 1153 Grants 733 in 1990 (led league by 200 over Ewing)
1818 shots compared to Pippens 1359 Grants 790 in 1991 (Led league by 300 over Tim Hardaway)
2003 shots compared to Pippens 1327 Grants 829 in 1992 (Led league by 400 over Hakeem)
1850 shots compared to Pippens 1216 Kukoc 787 in 1995 (Led league by 320 over Malone)
1892 shots compared to Pippens 1366 Kukoc 605 in 1996 (Led league by 300 over Mitch Richmond)
1893 compared to Kukoc 841 Pippen 704 in 1997 (Led league by 250 over Antoine Walker)
I can really only do this seasons comparison with Kobe because of the Shaq factor, so....
But Kobe is anywhere around 1100-1700 about even par with Shaq during those years ranking as high as 2nd on the L in 2002 and making the top ten only 2 times in his career.
But this season Kobe is 2nd in shots per game with 686, 30 behind Iverson and 30 ahead of Mcgrady. Whereas Butler has 348 Odom 342 and Adkins 300. So Kobe this season is not even close to being on the same pace as Jordan's early years and ahead pace in the Pippen years. The true fan always know his bounds, unlike the wagon-jumping hounds,
Who never feel the slightest shame for changing hats from game to game.
The players come and then they go, but one thing for certain that I know,

Re: Can we stop comparing to MJ, please?
Originally posted by SuperFreak84So you're saying Jordan was always on better teams then Kobe's current team, yet the Lakers are winning with Kobe contributing more than Jordan did on his squads. The point of that wasn't to show up Jordan, it was to show Kobe is contributing to his team at an even higher rate than Jordan did and the Lakers are winning some games, so he must not be all that bad this season.Comment
