Man what is the deal with Steve Francis??

Francis took the departure of his backcourt partner hard.

"I can't put it into words," he said. "Playing with a guy, living with a guy, just knowing that every day when I wake up that's something I can count on, that I'm going to be in practice or in a game with Cuttino.

"Him not being here is going to be tough for me. I don't know what I'm going to wake up for."
Seriously, what's up with this dude...

Francis has been with Mobley his whole career and were close on and off the court, like brothers. I would be po'ed about a trade like that also
    I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can't

Well, just think about how much the trade of Cuttino has turned his world on it's side. This is the only backcourtmate and roommate he has known for his six years in the league. Hell, given that amount of closeness between them, I'm sure they are best friends. Now, imagine yourself in a similar situation with a brother or someone close to you in Cuttino's position. Then just suddenly take that person out of your daily routine entirely. It wouldn't piss you off and totally screw up the way that you function for at least a short period of time? Sure, Steve's comments are a little "out-there" but I think he has a perfect right to not entirely be in a stable state of mind right now. This will be the first time since his life changed forever (by joining the NBA) that one certainty he's had will be gone. It's perfectly understandable.

I thought Mobley demanded a trade?

Mobley said he was going to opt out of his contract and become a free agent, but added he'd "rather stay" in Orlando.

Best friend or not, I find it a little freaky hearing a grown man talk about another man like that. Sounds a little 'Richard Simmons' if you ask me.

                        Wow.

                        I'm speechless.

when you've been hanging with a good friend for years, it's hard to let go so suddenly. We all have feelings duece, I'm not surprised by what Francis has to say.
