Shaq said after the Phoenix game that it was like old shaq(him, now), vs. young shaq. I kinda agree. First of, Amare and Shaq = eachother out last night. Shaq shot 16-20 for 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Amare shot 13-19 for 34 points, and 9 rebounds, 0 blocks??(I think). Of course, Amare has a guy named Steve Nash, you might have heard of him. He kinda helps a big guy get easy points. But amare, in fairness, took shaq outside and nailed jumpers on him. My question is this. Amare has touch that Shaq never had, and is only 22 yrs old. Shaq was a 29 point, 13 rebound, 3 block monster. Amare is about 26, 9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks. I know Amare will never be the back to the basket force shaq is, but overall, does anyone think this guy could one day be the force that Shaq was, as a total package. I think he has a shot. We are sleeping on this guy. His athleticism and power PACKAGE are remniscent of Shaq back in the day. Not only that, his skills are much better than Shaq. He can face up. the one thing he hasn't shown he can do, is be a defensive force like Shaq is was. Like I said, back in the day, shaq had 13 rebound 3 block seasons.
