Yup . I think everyone here in Operationsports should realise this bug. There is a video in operationsports shows this problem. In the video Allstar Eastern VS Western , right after Iverson get the ball from Walker, he steps over the 3 point line and shoots. I thought that's a long 2 but that's a three!!....OMG.....~~ hope EA fix this in PC version.Comment

Re: In NBA live 2003 you can step over the three point line, shoot...
Not many games take into consideration relative distance on game playgrounds fields or courts. Only game I have played that has this is madden 2003 and that is because sideline and measurement calls play such a crucial part in football in general. Controlling your player in a basketball player isnt so precise as to warrant the emphasis on line calls or three point arc calls. I for on would be pissed if my players toe caught the three point line in Live 2003 and its not ruled a three. That would mean that i would have to stay a virtual yard away from the arc just to be careful.
I dont consider it a bug at all since no game has exact control over the players feet, as to whether its a inch over the line or an inch behind itComment

As an aside, has anyone noticed yet that the freestyle 'step-back' move (tap down on the right analog if you are dribbling or if you are in triple threat) is interruptable? This means you don't have to wait for the entire step to play before you can shoot, so if you are really, really close to the line and only want to do a half-step back you can just press shoot while you are in the middle of the animation and your player will plant and fire.
Nice touch. VERY nice.Comment

Um... You mean to tell me... That A simple thing such as standing behind the three point line, for a basket to count for three points is something difficult to do? Your comparing the NFL 100 yard field, with all its lines, out of bounds, endzone lines ect is something to compare to the simple three point line that goes around the basketball court?? To me its simple programer error. And its an error that has plagued this series for quite some time. The game is fun, but it is so far from being a realstic basketball experience. And to me if your player steps on the line and shoots and makes it... IT SHOULD COUNT FOR 2 POINTS...... SImple no??Comment

Re: In NBA live 2003 you can step over the three point line, shoot...
Your right it should make it two points, thats the rules. I for one though find it impractical since i do not have absolute total control of my players feet on the screen. Especially at the speed that an nba game should go at. I for one would find that I'm taking a whole lot of three pinters a yard away from the three point like just to be sure its a three ( i dont like the idea of that). I also wouldnt want the game to set my feet for me while taking a possible three either. The football game reference is from the fact that it is alot easier to gauge wht is inbounds and what is not or an approximate yardage. It isnt so easy in basketaball to spot a players toe goin over the three point arch so an approximation of player position is usually the best bet. Now maybe Lives room for error is a bit larger than it should be and in that case i understand your rant.Comment
