Care to post Robinson's numbers to prove he was manhandled in the playoffs? STFU, that's idiot talk. David Robinson was a beast, the only time he got "manhandled" was against Shaq, but Duncan didn't really help out a lot during LA's 3 rings either. Oh, Robinson got outplayed by Olajuwuan too, but everybody did. Other than that, Robinson was a beast all the time, playoff and regular season. James doesn't have a player near Robinson's talent level, so saying he has to win a title in his 2nd year, is ridiculous. If James gets someone of Robinson's talents, that'd be a fair comparison, but the Spurs also had Sean Elliot that year, and also Bruce Bowen I believe. Nice try though.

My Lebron comment was a joke moron. You obviously never saw Robinson perform in the playoffs when the Spurs faced any team with an inside presence. Robinson was the epitome of a regular season player and he was as soft as tissue.

When Duncan came to the Spurs, Robinson was well on his way downward silde and had missed most of the previous season because of injury and was a shadow of his former self. He was a good scorer in his prime but was easily intimidated and lacked toughness in the paint. That's why his teams would always have great records during the season but would underachieve in the post season.

Stop quoting statistics and actually start watching a game once in a while then maybe you'll stop putting up these repetitive threads all the time. Thanx for helping me figure out who's punching all those all star ballots for Vince Carter every year.

I don't CARE what your OPINION is, b/c everyone has one. Post some FACTS, like D Rob's stats. You can twist any perception to fit an argument, but that's only one man's taste. D Rob soft? How about the rest of his team? While D Rob was putting up 20-25 points and 10-15 rebounds during the playoffs, his team was putting up a donut. And D Rob was not a shadow of his former self. Sure his scoring was down, b/c he deferred to Duncan, but he still dominated the boards with 10 + along with over 2 blocks. It's insulting for anyone to suggest that D Rob didn't have a HUGE part in that title. And like I said, Duncan also had Sean Elliot for that title, a very good player.

Robinson was 2nd team All NBA Defense the year that Duncan came aboard. That title season in which you said Robinson was a shell of his former self. I checked the numbers. He averaged 16 points per game, on 51 % shooting, pretty darn good when you consider he deferred to Duncan offensively. Defensively he he averaged 10 rebounds per game and 2.43 blocks. I don't see many has been players able to do that. Robinson also guarded the toughest player many nights, and could also come weak side and shot block if Duncan had a tough assignment. Furthermore, Duncan never had to defend Shaq 1 on 1 during that run, b/c Robinson was a center, and those two could double team Shaq. Lebron James DOES not have a player like that, 7'1", that can grab 10 rebounds AND block 2.43 shots. Also, Robinson is a much more efficient scorer than any post player for the Cavs, he shot 51 %, guys like Ilgauskas have the benefit of Lebron passing to him, but he only shoots 44.8 % which is bad for a center. Robinson did not need to be set up. Robinson also averaged 21.6 points per game, 10.6 rebounds and 2.63 blocks Duncan's first year, so he had PLENTY in the tank when the Spurs won the title. Without Robinson, NO WAY Duncan won that first title.
