But when I was calling him trash early on he was pretty trash.. Dude was a number 2 pick getting KD comparisons coming in and performing at the same level as Marquese Chriss. Hell Zubac had as strong of a rookie year as he did.

He was too weak to play defense, too weak to get to the rim or keep his dribble open, Didn't rebound the ball, couldn't shoot, and nearly turned the ball over at the same rate he made a play for someone else.

I understand the whole he was young, he can get better, etc I never felt he couldn't become a good player, but his on court value at the time was bad.

Either way I'm glad he's playing this well now. I thought towards the end of last year before his injury, kinda when the Lakers season was basically over and he was just out there playing ball he was playing really well. First half of the year he was thinking too much, just dribble into the mid-range and get caught picking up his dribble or caught in the air, or getting stripped.. I felt like he was having to think too much.. This role with the Pelicans it feels like he can just go out and play, like he was doing at the end of last year.
    He looked like every other...

Nah nvmd, you got it, lol. I just hope you keep this same energy with EVERY other 18-19 y/o player regardless of who they’re compared to. I doubt you actually will but one can only hope.[emoji1479]

Ingram has really improved this season. His length allows him to easily get off his shots and his first step on the drive is super quick and covers lots of ground.

Handle is a tad better than before showing dynamic right to left crossover and tight spins. He could still tighten it up though.

His jumpers from mid-range are soft and his long distance spot shooting is much smoother and more accurate than in the past.

Pass-work is very good showing the willingness and ability to make skip, drop, and entry deliveries.

If the lane is open he can be a good finisher but still struggles to finish in a crowd. He does a better job of sealing his man in a mid-post position and has clearly gotten stronger as he matured.

Has shown the ability to take and make clutch shots in the end-game.

On defense his main weapons are his length and quickness but he is still poor on this end. Easily bumped out of position, beaten on drives, aimlessly wandering on the weakside, and lacking intensity.

Ingram doesn't look to box out well and his lack of bulk is why his rebound per minute average is only about 1:5 which is below the expected ratio for a big forward of 1:4.

Overall Ingram is blossoming into a legitimate all star performer and still has the potential to turn into an iconic player.

I mean I didn't say he was a bust who would never get better, he just wasn't a good young player. I don't know why that gets people worked up, not all 19-20 year olds are good NBA players out the gate. Some are, some aren't, he was one of the ones who wasn't.

Situation likely would have been different if it wasn't the Lakers and we didn't have to hear about him so much. Or if he was just brought along slowly like many other rookies and not thrown out there as a starter who couldn't produce.

I mean if we are being fair he was probably worse out the gate than Josh Jackson.. And now Jackson is widely considered a bust and out of the big league right now.. Kudos to Ingram for that not being him, but watching him at that time it wouldn't have seemed crazy for that to be his path.

The passing took a big jump last year, it was just the decision making that still lacked. I think his defense isn't bad, the line-ups early on last year that had he, McGee, and Bron were really disruptive with all that length, obviously he does still need to get stronger though. I think he would be a plus defender if he wasn't playing on the worst defensive team in the league. Pels have been awful on that end, though being healthy should help with that.

His biggest improvement to me is the outside shot. Not even the rate he's making them but just the fact that he is taking them. He has great touch on his mid-range and he should keep trying to get those looks, but last year that's all he wanted to do. Instead of just shooting wide open threes he would hesitate, or drive into traffic for contested mid-range shots and put himself in bad passing windows.. Just taking the shots when he's open this year has been a huge improvement.. Much more confident it seems.

Felt like last year he was so predictable.. No matter where he caught the ball or what offense they were in he was getting the ball and dribbling it to the free-throw line and picking up his dribble. I do wonder though how much of that was Luke Walton.

You see OJ... We set you up to say "Sorry. I ****ed up" and move on. But you couldn't just let it go lol. Since you started this...

Not even Josh Jackson fate is decided. I keep telling you each time we go through this. I'd wait until year 5-6 to call a player a bust. ****, I might until the end of his career. But that might be too long for some people lol.

I didn't call anyone a bust or decide anyone's fate though. I said he was playing like trash when he was playing like trash. I never once thought he lacked the potential to get better or that he was already a bust at 19 years old.. Hell Kobe didn't even crack the starting line-up until his 3rd season. I wasn't ever one of the people on that boat.

He was trash that got better. He's recycled or some **** lol.

I still dont get how he was trash though. Maybe we have different standards.

Like I said, keep that same energy with every other 18-19 y/o regardless of who they’re compared to and regardless of what team they’re on.

Just be consistent with it, that’s all.

I just heard BI talk for the first time, his 4th year in the league, which is crazy.

He’s having a special season. Keep it up my guy.

I love watching Marcus Smart play, if there are players on the floor, #36 is probably one of the players on the floor.

Bucks were outscored 36 to 22 in the 4th quarter. They need to play 48 minutes of hoops.

Credit to the Celtics for coming back, Bucks couldn't stop Kemba and Marcus was burning 3's.

The only thing I didn't like at the game was a Celtic fan behind us giving his hot takes after every play. lol
The Bucks couldn't miss a shot in the 1st half that was impressive. The Kanter mins is what lost them the game though. It's becoming more and more apparent he's not playable in the playoffs. Robert Williams is a mess but you can still play him in spurts. This is where I could see the need for a big but not a starter though because Theis is more than solid enough.

Hayward was bad but he's been more than + this season. Kanter i can't stand. so given the fact Hayward was a no show and Kanter mins with no Jaylen on a B2B I don't mind the loss.

                            The Bucks are really good!

Ingram in LA was trash. Acting like this is the same guy is simply not true or acting like Ingram was good for a 2 week span was very dumb. His play style is different and has taken a huge jump. I still question his defense and how he and Zion fit but the jump is real.
