I know this is kinda weird to post this, but I found this interesting. ESPN's game, LA vs. Minny, and Chucky Atkins was awesome. He had 22 points, on 9-15 shooting, bunch of 3's, 11 assists. So ESPN does a cutscene during a timeout, the ref was miked, and he goes to Chucky,"don't take this the wrong way, but I never knew you were this good." I didn't know that refs talked like that to players, I thought they kinda had to be distant from players and pretend to not care what happened on the court, at least not be vocal about things, and just not say anything and make calls. Weird.

Ok, in all seriousness, I remember one time in last years LA vs. SA series. Tim Duncan was talking to a ref (Crawford I think) about Devin Brown being hacked in the pain. And the ref was like, "Devin who?" COming out of the timeout, Devin Brown went up and introduced himself to the ref. Funny stuff. -

Yeah that was pretty funny. Atkins was trying to explain himself too. Like the game last night was normal to him....fool you were in the zone. You won't have 5 more games like that this year. Just tell him you on fire and leave it at that!!Comment
