Live 2003 ..The ultimate 2 player game????

But is it just me ( it probably is just me?)or is does Live have the best 2 player action between the 2 games???

Online or with my boyz, Live is gettin some mad playin time.

Because you are in total control of how you want to rock the defender.
Nothin beats that feelin!

I rented Live today and I can see how it is a great two player game, my friends are coming over to play it tonight- can't wait.

When me and my boyz play Live..we don't even care who has more points. We just want to rock the other guy, winning the game is second on the list.

No the thing is the game doesnt determine what they do, they determine it. Thats what makes it better to them from what I gather. Some ppl who play multiplayer games on Live 2003 will utilize strategy and game plans but not these guys....lol ....i think its good that they have the choice though. have to give Ea props for that even though i havent played the game myself.

It's not like nba street. It isn't that over the top.

It's just the control you have over your player. In 2k3 you just don't have that big of an arsenal to use, and even with the minimal arsenal of moves your not in total control of what is going to happen.

But in live you can control what move you want, which direction, what move your going to pull off after that....etc..etc...etc.. So your in total control of the player on your t.v. screen.

I don't get that same feeling with 2k. I don't feel in total control of whats going on the floor.

Now don't tell me I'm a 2k basher...because I also love 2k, I have loved it since the original.

This is just my opinion on the 2003 versions on these two games.

I mean, you can determine an outcome of anyvideo game you play. Nba2k3 for examkle, Just don't pass the ball to your best SG, and the outcome may be diff. Just don't shoot any threes, the outcome could be diff. The options are endless when you control the players. You can even run out of bounds every possession.

I don't see any real meaning in what they say "I can determine my own outcome"

I mean....when you have the ball with your player....you are in complete control of what you want that player to do on the court. I mean moves wise.....You are in complete control of the arsenal of moves that Live 2003 gives you.

I don't know of a simpilar way I can put it???

Naw Wally it isnt necessarily determining the "outcome" of the game in those simple ways. Games were determined that way in Jordan vs Bird. I think its about actually feeling like your the one facing up on you defender with Kobe to take over the game or Doug Christie drawing the last minute charge on a key possession. As i understand it ....its far more than just deciding whether or not your team wins or loses by basic givens. Again i say......i have not played the game.....but friends have told me and I have been a spectator of many frens playing it.

Don't worry. I completely understand what you're trying to say.

I'm a BIG fan of Microsoft's Inside Drive series for that very same reason. I couldn't play NBA2k2 last year after I'd gone BACK to Inside Drive 2002. There is a noticiable lack of responsiveness in 2k2 compared to Drive 2k2.

Can't say this is the ultimate 2 player game since when I'm on defense, I'm really just waiting to get back on offense. Doesn't feel very balanced on the defensive end, hence the high shooting percentages everyone is talking about. I don't mind the offensive arsenal if the defense can match up accordingly, but this just isn't the case. 2K3 is muhc more of a 2 player batle game IMHO since both sides of the ball have tools that are matched up against each other.
