Paul Silas for Coach of the Year

I know that Nate McMillan or Mike D'Antoni will probably get this award, but they each have two All Star caliber players, or more. Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis are awesome players. Phoenix is so loaded, it's silly, Nash, Marion, Stoudemire, Q, JJ, blah blah blah.

Paul Silas has Lebron and nobody. Z is gifted on O, but he's bad defensively, doesn't grab enough boards for 7'3". Drew Gooden was nobody before he got here, he didn't even start for ORLANDO last yr. Jeff Mcinnis was a journeyman pt guard, and the Cavs didn't miss a beat last night with him out. Ira Newble would be an 8th man on most teams. And his best player is a 19-20 yr old barely out of high school. Now I think coaching is overrated b/c if you have the horses, you're gonna be in the running no matter who's coaching. What I mean is, if you have Duncan, Shaq, Jordan, etc. Your team will be good, unless your role players suck or are hurt. But coaching does have some effect on a team, and I think Silas ought to get the award. 24-15, with one very good player, and a bunch of role players is amazing. Who would you pick?

McMillan or Scott Skiles will get it. LeBron carries that team, Silas doesn't do anything special. Skiles turned an 0-9 team into a playoff contender and McMillan took a team that was predicted to finish in the lottery by many of the "experts".

A lot will change before the year is over, but as of now it has to be McMillian or Eddie Jordan of the Wizards. Perception creates reality. Using ESPN's power rankings a list of the teams that have peformed much higher than predicted.

        Teams: Preseason Ranking-Now

        Cavs: 17-7

        Bulls: 26-16

        Suns: 11-2

        Sonics: 28-3

        Wizards: 27-8

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Well the Spurs are on their way to somewhere between 60 and 70 wins, in which case Popovich would be pretty likely to get it.

Seriously, HMCcoy, all you rant about is how good the Cavs role players are. I get sick of you stalking my threads and having something cute to say. If i wanna post about my opinions, big deal, but you gotta humpback everything I say and make it personal. Get a life. If you love the Cavs role players, go start a thread on it, b/c for all the time post about Lebron, you're right there w/a response either attacking me, or badgering everyone about JMAc or somebody.

If your saying Silas should get it because the Cavs got LeBron and no one else then look at the Bulls. They have no all-star/superstars on their squad but yet in the running for the playoffs.

And for the record, none of those guys are great. I've NEVER said that. But please feel free to look up the word "chemistry" before you post about the Cavs or McInnis again, bro. The lack of any team aggressiveness or scoring punch besides LBJ down the stretch led to a dissapointing home loss against the Hughes-less Wiz tonight, BTW. Z was in foul trouble, and no one else stepped up intensity-wise.

You might have missed that though...Its not in the boxscore. LOL.
