    a frustrating good time

I am really enjoying this basketball game. i am currently2-8 with the atlanta hawks and have a 6 game loosing streak, 5 of which cam on an early season 5 game west coast raod trip.

and truthfully i am enjoying evey minute of it, i played those first game just kind of running around and passing takeing whatever shots i wanted to see if i could win that way. i didn;t make any defensive adjustments or run specific plays other than general stuff.

the result has been that i know i have to get knee deep in this game to help turn the hawks around. i would be in every game until the 4th quarter and sometimes the 3rd when the cpu would shut down or adjust to what i was doing to stay in the game. i wouldn't change anything on purpose to see if i could still win and i couldn't. i stated playing serious ball the last game and though i still lost is was a blast

my last game was against the hornets who were also 2-7 we were battling to stay our of the division cellar. baron came out firing early but i committed to keeping him out of the paint and giving him the jumper. this strategy worked in the first half, although he had 14 pts he took 18 shots to get them.

i forced the hordets into 17 tournovers which games us many more shots at the rim then they had which would usually mean a win, both teams played suffocatind defense and there were only 4 fast break points combined. i only shot 40.5% to their 45%(never happend in any other game i love the realism) but with the 17 extra shots we got becaue of the turnovers you would a ssume we would still pull out the victory, however they played a bulling style in the second half and got to the freethrow line 16 time and converted on 13, baron heated up from the perimeter and went for 30 with out a hand in his face.

this has to be the most statisticially accurate game i have ever played, we lost the game because we took too many jumpers there by not getting to the line, we allowed their other players too many easy buckets from offensive rebounds so that negated the positive of baron missing a lot of shots .

I love this game, thank you sega sports, i would still like better offensive plays but this game is the Bomb. oh i forgot before the hornets game i fired lon kruger and hired a better coach who demanded more money than our initial offer .

It's allways more fun to play with weak teams IMO.
I loved to play with the Celtics back in 1999/2000 where they REALLY sucked. It's more fun to fight for a W in evey game than it is to expect it in most.

Glad you're enjoying the game samuel40. I've been losing a lot too, but am currently on a 2 game win streak which has really increased my enjoyment.

And I agree gangsterboy. It feels great to know you earned the win. I'm hoping to redeem the Knicks of the terrible season they had last year.
