Do the Bucks need Chris Paul to contend for a championship?

I think they do and it puts them over the top

It gives the Bucks a closer and a bucket getter in the last few minutes

Giannis is the better player, but in terms of getting a bucket in the last5 minutes in the game, I trust Paul more than Giannis

Paul has a better 3 point shot and is more clutch, according to data analytics

After being dumped by Houston, it seemed like CP3 might fade into obscurity. Instead, he’s hit a whole new level with Oklahoma City: Clutch Paul.

Yes the Bucks were 2 games away from going to the chip, but they had a 2-0 lead and couldn't adjust. I think their coach is a great coach, but can't adjust in the playoffs

Is Chris Paul now also part of the 2k esports league? Did I miss something?

Are you talking about this season or next? I'm not sure what the trade/Free Agent rule is for the rest of this year but adding him now would be risky trying to adjust to a new teammate and way of play with basically only the playoffs left.

Next season I think he would be a big improvement for them but I don't necessarily think he is NEEDED for them to win a championship. The team needs to stay together and build on their playoff experience and I feel like eventually, they will make it.

It just doesn't make sense from a financial perspective, especially if god forbid the salary cap decreases significantly for next year. Milwaukee would either need to trade its entire roster sans Giannis/Middleton, or trade Middleton, which would likely make the team worse.

I read the NBA might be considering an amnesty clause again for this offseason with so many teams deep in the tax and covid on top of that.. if that happens then Chris Paul to the Bucks makes sense because they wouldn’t have to trade away half their talent to fit his contract.. Though if that were to happen I would be a bit surprised if he picked the Bucks over moving back to LA to play for Doc or play with Bron.

I think that it is possible to do without it, moreover, it is completely meaningless from a financial point of view
