So tell me, did any of you not actually like Jordan? Or pulled against him? I guess I've always noticed that fans of there hometown team put that aside when it came to MJ, just b/c of the things he did, and the way he carried himself. Let's here your Jordan stories, how you felt about him, and whether you were able to root for him and his team even if your favorite team was your hometown.

Who rooted for the Bulls when MJ played?
I hear all these people bagging me for rooting for the Bulls when MJ was there. I always loved Cleveland, even though MJ broke my heart, I also rooted for the Bulls b/c MJ was the greatest ever, and most importantly, the greatest consummate professional this league has ever seen in terms of dignity, working hard, and playing to win. Jordan was a guy I think everyone rooted for, but I'm starting to wonder since some people rip me as a CAvs fan b/c I was a huge Jordan fan and pulled for Chicago. It wasn't like the Cavs were gonna win with Jordan around, no one was. I guess I don't see anything wrong with rooting for someone like that even if he isn't on your team.

Re: Who rooted for the Bulls when MJ played?
This is the last post I'm ever going to respond to you, but no, I hated Jordan his entire career. He broke mine and the Cavs heart. If you thought the Cavs had no chance to ever win it all when Jordan played, then you were never a Cavs fan. I remember being at the game, watching the nightmare go up and Jordan just hang there as the shot dropped in. So no, I hated the Bulls, I hate Jordan, and won't ever feel any different.
Respect Jordan, yes, he's one of the top 3 players of all time, but like him, no. -

Oh my god. YOu know nothing about the Cavs. as good as they were with Nance, Price and Dougherty, that team was not gonna win w/MJ and Scottie, you're telling me that the Cavs had a chance during any of those 6 title runs. Puhlease. Now that's being a fanboy. the bulls ran roughshod over EVERYONE those years.Comment

Re: Who rooted for the Bulls when MJ played?
Of course the Cavs had a chance. If they didn't have a chance to win anything, they would've just rode to the stadium, threw the ball in the air, and went home. Being a fan means believing that your team can win. Always.Originally posted by rbrunsOh my god. Re: Who rooted for the Bulls when MJ played?
Yes, I did root for Jordan. Did I necessarily root for the Bulls??? Sometimes. I enjoyed watching the triangle being ran, and I really did root for them through their first 3 titles. Did I still love the Cavs? Yes in deed. Jordan was just an athlete that love or hate, you have to watch. Just to see what he was going to do next. He changed the game of basketball, and I just loved rooting for him. He was just that good.
So yes, a Cavs fan can root for Jordan. With that being said,
GO CAVS!!!Twitter - WTF_OS

You hate MJ, I hate Kobe. But everyone knows MJ is better. And I think it will be the same between the bulls and the cavs, but this time favoring the cavs. LeBron is the next Micheal, and we will be in the Cavs postionOriginally posted by kuruptioni didnt, ive always hated mj ... i dont care how good he was . i dont care if god himself came down and played in the nba , if he doesnt have a lake show jersey on , i aint rooting for him ...
