I don’t think Giannis will win the MVP three consecutive seasons, especially after the last two post season performances for 2019 and 2020. I know it’s a regular season award, but I doubt he’ll win it this year.

I think if consistency from start to finish means anything at all to the voters it should be a pretty easy win for him at this point. With the injuries to LeBron and Embiid, the injuries to Harden plus the whole Houston thing to start the year, the slow start for Giannis and the Bucks mediocre season, I don't think any of the other guys outside of that are really close enough to argue.

He's been the best player from day 1 - now, and the big winning streak after the Gordon trade puts them in a good enough position for the team record to not kill him like it might have a month ago. If they keep winning and he keeps rolling with Murray out he will likely only build on that case.

Maybe if Denver goes on a losing streak and Joel or LeBron (if he comes back without missing many more) put on some crazy display to close out the year and take a few recency votes from guys who already had them sitting 2nd or 3rd they would have an outside shot, but I still think Joker gets it with most of the first place votes comfortably.

I wanna know how Embiid is still in the conversation for MVP but LeBron isn't when LeBron has played more games than Embiid has

LeBron should be totally out of the equation IMO. Him being 36 should not be part of the equation, his numbers are simply not good enough this in this season.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

What numbers? He was first on the Kia ladder before injury and it had nothing at all to do with his age. Lakers were up to only 3 games behind the Jazz, top defense in the league, with AD missing games. Lakers were +11 with him on/off the floor and he had the highest real +/- in the league. His per possession numbers are within half a point and assist to Joker, and in March the odds were +198 Bron, Embiid +300, Jokic +500.

Highly unlikely now that Joker isn’t sitting at the 7 seed, that’s the only thing was holding him back before IMO. But if Bron comes back relatively soon and Lakers go on a run to close the season and Nuggets drop back with Murray out how would he not have chance? I mean literally the only other player who would even be in the discussion is Embiid. Sixers were able to hold the 1 seed even without him playing. LeBron wins the most “valuable” to his team argument hands down. Embiid wins the numbers game in many ways. But even with him dropping 30 and Bron not having the “numbers” LeBron has accounted for 300 more points than Embiid this season in only playing 1 more game than him.

Well to be fair Embiid is playing now and LeBron isn’t and isn’t going to be for the foreseeable future. The MVP updates are what, weekly or bi-weekly, by the time in updates again Embiid won’t be behind him in games played.

I think MVP has come down to Jokic and CP3 with Embiid 3rd but out of reach.
