There's also no perfect solution to where everyone would be happy so I'm not gonna get into that debate again. And let's also just say I made that thread almost 6 years ago and nothing has changed, the WC is now going on 20+ years of superiority.

Re: 2/9 - 2/22 Games Discussion Thread
It’s not nearly that simplistic though because the teams don’t play the same teams the same number of times, not all teams records reflect how healthy they were throughout the year, which teams had new rosters to start the season and have lots of losses while finding their groove by the time the playoffs started.
No doubt West has been stronger, but not to the degree that conferences need to be deleted for the sake of reseeding teams that are separated by just a handful of wins.
If anything, I feel like unconferenced playoffs would make the regular season matter a bit more in the end
Even in these 2nd seed drops to 7 examples the difference between #2 Knicks in 2013 and the #2 Spurs was only 4 games. It’s not really all that large of a gap. In 2014 #2 Miami would have been a 5-6 seed but DWade only played like 50 games and they had a better win% against Western conference teams than Eastern conference teams. Those are just some examples of why just glancing at wins and losses isn’t enough to just completely overhaul seeding.
The bottom 2-3 teams in the East have been notoriously worse no doubt, but again we are talking just a handful of games in most instances and the 9-7 vs 8-8 does a pretty solid job of illustrating that pretty much all teams are making the playoffs regardless. We’re arguing to deleted conferences so we can move in a new 16th seed, just seems silly.

2018-19: All of the Top 5 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than all but 2 of the top 5 teams in the East, and 2 playoff teams in the East had negative SRS ratings
2017-18: All of the Top 5 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than all but 2 of the top 5 teams in the East, and the top 8 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than all but 3 of the top 8 teams in the East
2016-17: All of the Top 5 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than ALL of the top 5 teams in the East (one of which had a negative point differential), and 3 teams in the East had negative SRS ratings as compared to 1 in the West
2015-16: 4 of the Top 5 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than all but one of the top 5 teams in the East, although 2 West teams did have negative SRS ratings. This could be an example of the West being particularly top heavy in this season
2014-15: All of the Top 6 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than all but 2 of the top 6 teams in the East, and 3 teams in the East had negative SRS ratings as opposed to 0 in the West
2013-14: All of the top 6 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than all of the top 6 teams in the East, 3 playoff teams in the East had negative SRS ratings as opposed to 0 for the West, and the 48-34 Suns that missed the playoffs entirely in the stacked West outperformed all but 2 East teams in terms of SRS rating as well
2012-13: All of the top 5 teams in the West had stronger SRS ratings than all but 1 of the top 5 teams in the East, and 4 playoff teams in the East have negative SRS ratings as opposed to 0 for the West
tl;dr: I feel that the most effective way to make up for the clear disparity in talent in both conferences is by seeding teams properly in an unconferenced playoff formatComment

Hornets-Warriors off to a very weird start. Curry wasn't in the starting lineup. And it seems like he's missing right now.
He's father is saying he wasn't feeling well.

Lamelo Ball weighs about the same as I do but is like 7 inches taller, and I'm pretty skinny. It's funny how you don't realize how skinny some of these players are until you see them play in IRL. I remember seeing Kobe play around 2007 and thinking he was way leaner than I thought he'd be based on TV lol.Comment

This is why I get so annoyed when people in the 2k threads think everyone needs to be built like bodybuilders lol.

I love it. Only because he was the one piece in the finals that was lost for them. Especially when Dragic went down. But he was still recovering from COVID by that time. I think he had missed like a month or something like that.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
