Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
I know. That's terrible news. I was shocked to hear it when it happened. I was really hoping McDyess could help the Knicks turn it around. I really feel sorry for McDyess, though. He must really be devastated by this. Looks like Knicks will be in the lottery once again. -

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
I'm so disappointed with the direction the Knicks are taking. This injury only adds to the problem. We need to fire Scott Layden and get a new GM. Marcus Camby is probably somewhere laughing right nowComment

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
I am not a Knicks fan, but I think it sucks that McDyess is out for a while because he seems like he's cursed, like Grant Hill. As for the Knicks, they're in bad shape. They overpaid for Houston and now, they have no cap space to go after more worthwhile players like Kidd and Duncan possibly next year. Losing McDyess means NO PLAYOFFS and don't forget that Sprewell is still out with a broken handComment

I bet Don Chaney feels STUPID for leavin' Dice in the game. If I were tha coach, I wouldn't even let Dice play in the preseason..-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
Is there anyone good coming out in the draft this year? It seems that now in the draft, I have no idea who these kids are, especially after this last draft.Comment

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
Camby is injured too again, so I doubt he is laughing. The Knicks have this mindset that they can't rebuild because of the ticket prices they charge, thus they will keep trading their draft picks from here on into eternity, which means we won't be very good for a while. I say fire the GM, freaking bastard.
It also isn't Cheney's fault for playing him. The trainers said his knee was fine, so that is what Don had to go with, he did nothing wrong.Comment

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
I agree we shouldn't have got him. We are trying to win now, but even with Mcdyess we're not good enough to win now. Now until Spre comes back we have a scrub at pg, houston, a scrub at sf, Kurt Thomas at either PF or Center, and a scrub at the other one. Maybe we'll win 20 games this year, maybeOriginally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
I remember saying to my wife on draft night, "a very talented player, but he is too much of an injury risk." Now I wish the Knicks would just admit that he's done for the year or maybe good for 10 or so games. Spree is hurt, the guy they drafted for the point is hurt. I wish they had just admitted that they were a lot further than one player from being any sort of a real "challenger" to the elite. They could have drafted, well I'll shut my mouth. Could have, should have, but didn't. Lottery?Comment

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
I just read this morning that if the Knicks declare Mcdyess out for the season, they can get a $6M injury exception and trade this to another team for a big man making about that much. My guess is they called about Danny Fortson this morning...NBA 2K18 ratings for several seasons generated from advanced analytics using the SportsCrunch system:

Re: My Knicks will suck for another year
Layden definitely needs to go. Kurt Thomas, you know he will play his heart out. Houston, ehhh we'll see. Spree, if he's healthy should have a decent season. But we are in no way making the playoffs. Travis Knight & Michael Doleac are our best backups.Comment
