Yeah, but with the Clippers probably waiting for us in the 2nd round and Donovan having not played for a month I want the least trouble as possible. Steph single-handedly can win a game or two in a series and extend it to 5/6/7 games

There absolutely is.

I’m completely over the whole WNBA bs and them acting like they are treated so poorly. Lost money every single year they’ve been in existence yet want to complain that it’s all about people being sexist. The league trying so hard to not “look” sexist is the only reason there is even still a league. You think if a mens league of anything lost money 30 years straight that plug wouldn’t be pulled? They’re being treated special if anything to protect the NBA league PR.

Draymond called them out and then they clapped back “well if we got the same TV time slots” and all that.. they might have a point to a small extent, but what TV station would willingly pull something that gets views and makes them money for something that doesn’t? I get so fed up with the whole “poor WNBA” crowd just completely ignoring all forms of common sense.

Shaq said they should use lower rims (volleyball uses lower nets) and they got all butt hurt about that too.. not that I think an extra dunk here and there would really help their views anyways. WNBA has done studies on their viewership and they can’t even draw in their own demographic. Young female athletes as a whole don’t watch the league, it’s just never going to be that in America IMO.

As someone who has casually watched WNBA basketball over the years I’m just fed up at this point. I’d quit my job and play basketball tomorrow for half their median salary. There, I got my rant in. I think that’s all within in TOS rules too.

Totally agree. Someone I work with will often talk about basketball (college and pro) with me and a few other guys. When or if we mention the WNBA, her response is usually like, “I don’t even watch that.”

I can’t stand when the label of “sexist” or “anti-woman” is thrown around if something receives criticism for lacking in some way, shape or form. It’s like people have to be afraid to criticize anything involving women - even if it’s valid and has nothing to do with any personal bias.
