Ben is mentally frazzled as a player right now, and I'm on an island, but I still want him on the Lakers, he just has to be convinced to be the 5 in the half court sets on offense.

I just can't see how you think it's going to work out with Lebron and Davis and Simmons. Sounds really bad to me I can't see it.

How do you even get him here anyway? Sign and trade Schroder + Kuzma?

Pay a guy with no offense 40M just to put him out of position on offense so he can watch LBJ run the offense. How can it work out.

Detroit is the Blackest city. And I don’t think anyone was treating it like it was the worst thing to happen to the league. But is what it is.

Saying worst thing is hyperbole, but it’s definitely not something to brush off. Like King said, we spent the last 10 years complaining about the same 2 players winning championships(Bron and Steph)and then spent most of this year thinking it was gonna be a wasted season because we apparently knew was gonna win the whole thing 5 months early(Nets).

But I promise we’ll be ok and accept some new champions every now and then and so will the league. They’ll still get their money(not sure why we as fans care about THAT because we’re not seeing a dime there at all, lol)and folks will still watch the Finals.

Might as well start preparing for it now because in a few years when Bron is gone, this is what we’ll have going forward.

Not enough Doc Rivers slander on here. Stop letting one of the most overrated coaches of all time off the hook. He was a bad hire and it couldn't be more clear that anyone could've won with that 08 Celtics team and he's still living off that. Must be a hell of a salesman

He's a decent, solid coach. But he's not the "get you over the hump and to the next level" coach that the media hypes him up to be.

If anything, he should have won at least 2 in Boston with the talent they had there at the time.

I actually equate him to Steve Kerr. Kerr gets exposed anytime the scales are even slightly balanced...when he has a chance to make a difference, he just can't.

Ben needs to transition into that Draymond role.

Focus on defense. Take a shot only if you’re wide open. Make passes for easy shots for others.

But get him outta Philly ASAP. He’s gonna be the talk of the town the entire offseason.

Doc is mediocre. Philly hired him to get to the next level but Doc ain't that guy. How many underperforming years and blown leads do we need as evidence?

I thought it was obvious he stinks. the fact 08 celtics won a title with him makes them the GOAT team. i kid. I couldn't believe philly folks were victory lapping in round one when the clips were down 2-0.

Doc does get off easy for as many times as his teams that were supposed to be superior squads have blown it. That one title and the fact that they seem to like him as a person has caused the media to be way softer on him than a lot of other coaches who they crush.

We’re gonna see Instagram stories and articles from all the casual NBA media outlets this summer showing Simmons in a private workout hitting 3s talking about how he’s finally working on his game after the disappointment in the playoffs, casual fans will get excited and then he’s gonna start next season scoring 10 points on 3/7 from the field and 4/8 from the line.

I think him moving to the PF would be ideal for him. He needs to learn how to work without the ball. Like the idea with Fultz, he needs to play with a combo guard who can play on and off the ball. He needs to be more of a screener, do more cuts, keep the defender moving, always be a threat, and he also needs to start shooting with the correct hand lol. I think he does his trainings with his brother, not an actual shooting coach.

I think for him, a change of scenery is needed. I honestly don't know if he would actually change heading back to Philly. He needs to be humbled before he can change. He doesn't fit in an offense so focused on Post ups. We have to take advantage of the Joel window. He won't play into his mid 30s with his durability. We have a month until season is over. So anytime now and then before a move is made. No one outside of Joel and Curry is untouchable.

My main issue with Doc this year was the rotations. So many times, he would put out lineups that everyone knew didn't fit together. You can't put Ben-Howard-Matisse/Hill together on the floor at once. But, I put that on the bench itself. They have to improve the bench.
