Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
I do wonder if Sixers lose before Finals, do they consider trading Ben Simmons again. Not sure if we will see a Harden like situation, where someone tries to force their way out. I like Ben, he does everything well besides score. He's a high IQ player that always wants to make the high % play. But, a lot of times to a fault. There's times where he needs to he aggressive and he just defers. And he's not a great finisher for someone his size. I don't care about the Jumpshot, it's more of being aggressive.
Morey has done a great job so far, not a move, I didn't like. Got rid of Horford's contract, got shooters in Curry and Green, like the picks of Maxey, Joe, and Reed, Howard has been solid. I wouldn't want them to just run it back with the same team because I don't think it's a legit title contender. Tobias has took a step forward and improved on defense. But, I still would be willing to move him for a more dynamic scorer. I would still keep Ben and move Tobias since Tobias raised his stock. If you could get a Lavine for him, I would take him. I don't think there's a Harden-level player that would be available that you would trade Ben for. If for some reason Lillard becomes available, I would make that deal in a second lol.Comment

I think Middleton is just as good of a perimeter defender as Jrue and Giannis. I think their best bet might actually be putting him on KD and letting Giannis guard Harden because Harden can’t bully him and more length on those step backs.

BKN in 6 and Philly in 6

I’m still cracking up at my man in the other thread saying Milwaukee will win “for the culture”.
My man Shiz is a fool for that, lol#RespectTheCultureComment

Definitely rooting for the Bucks to take the Nets out- but if I had to put money on it, I'd say Nets in 7....

Props to them for getting their team defense to where it is in the first place though, because I had my doubts...We'll see what they're made of.
I'd go Harden on Giannis.

Interesting. Yall agree with him. I'm gonna say that's a bad idea. But I guess it doesn't matter you'll have to double regardless when Giannis gets in the paint.

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
It’s more than likely going to be a group effort as far as guarding Giannis with KD, Blake, Claxton and Uncle Jeff all getting turns.
It’s not going to be pretty all of the time as far as defending him nor should it be but the goal should be to not let him get comfortable/believe he can just get clean looks off like he did in that 2 game series.
In that series, he was actually looking confident pulling up from 3 and knocking them down even while we kept dating him to take them.#RespectTheCultureComment

Hence me saying it’s not going to be pretty.
He’s an 2x MVP and an all NBA player...he’s going to get his and make an impact in this game regardless of who you throw at him to guard. But having options is better than letting him roam free and do whatever the hell he wants. Same thing applies to Harden and KD.
In the playoffs, it’s more important to not let guys like that get comfortable than it is worrying about trying to hold them 0 points or whatever.
FWIW with Blake, his post defense has been fine and one of things he’s been decent with throughout his career and he’s one of the league leaders in charges as well. If he’s out on the perimeter or caught up in switches, then he’s in trouble.#RespectTheCultureComment
