It's not even his scoring that we miss but just having another playmaker out there so Donovan can rest and focus on scoring instead of making plays for others. Conley is so huge to this team I honestly don't know how we escaped with this win lol
The Conley part is truth. You guys need him. To finish the Clippers off. I don't know. But you definitely going to need him.

But the reason Utah won tonight. It's because they made 20 three pointers. You play that level of defense with that many 3 pointers. It's kind of easy.

What I want to talk about tomorrow is that zone defense. But it's 1am here. Tomorrow [emoji23]

With plenty of film time prep I fully expect Quin Snyder to exploit it so bad in the first 3 minutes of Game 3 that Ty Lue abandons it for the series. Especially if Conley is available and Mitchell isn't hurting too much. He looks beat up man

Mitchell has moved up to 7th all-time in playoff PPG scoring, passing AD tonight

Not something I’d give too much attention to because it’s something he can fall back down on without any influence from other players.

28ppg early in your playoff career is impressive though.

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread

One thing I have been incredibly eager to see the Jazz handle is the threat of elite mid-range scoring. It's the reason why I feared the Lakers because of AD and LeBron's ability to get to the elbow and knock it down, and it's especially why I fear the Suns as CP3 and Booker are masters of the craft. It's the one shot that the Jazz want to give up consistently, so throughout the course of a 7-game series I've been wanting to evaluate how we handle it because Jamal Murray torched us from there last year.

So far they've done really, really well containing Kawhi and preventing him from getting to those spots. It helps that Bojan can match Kawhi's length on the rise and he's playing with a ton of energy. Hopefully he can keep it up because he's winning that matchup so far defensively.

If we do happen to get past the Clippers and the Suns are waiting for us, I'll still be extremely worried about CP3's ability to get to the mid-range. Conley at this point in his career isn't the defender that he used to be, the only thing I can think of that might work is putting Donovan on CP3 and O'Neale on Booker. But even then, Mikal Bridges has improved so much offensively this year that he could take it right to Conley in that matchup too.

            So yeah, go Denver lmao

You see how important the middy becomes again once the playoffs start. It'll never die....I don't care how many of those graphs you see. It's a huge weapon for the elites this time of year and teams are going to dare you to hit it. That's why these guys coming up should continue to work on it and have it in the clip for these moments.

The Bucks/Nets game came down to forcing Joe Harris into pulling up for one in the clutch...

The funny thing is Joe Harris can hit that shot. And has plenty of times throughout the season. He just missed. I mean we watched KD miss the most mid range jumpers ever last night. Then started hitting some of the most shots I've seen him hit (since on the Nets).

Nerds don't play basketball. I just don't think these guys take into factor the human psyche. Yes this formula is going to say the thing that is more points is better. But the best shot. Teach your players to hunt for the best shot. Or a good shot.

I like what the Clippers did last night. But I fear for the worst especially after having to go to zone defense.

Trying to draw the foul not just by kicking his leg out but then after he landed he moves ***-first into Gobert and falls, lol. Glad the refs didn't fall for it.

100%. Even with the Jazz hitting 20 threes last night, they really needed Bogey hitting those midrange faders to put pressure on that zone. With LAC playing so small most of the time when we drive we've just been getting to the cup but Bojan and Clarkson have both done a solid job getting to those spots

Both 6-7 lbs. heavier than the Mavericks biggest wing (outside of Doncic, but he's not stopping anyone)

Kawhi will definitely adjust, no doubt in my mind, but it hits different when you're dropping that shoulder and not creating as much separation, lol
