Help Defensive Stopping Power, and Clutch Factor

Playing in my first 3 franchise games with the lakers, i noticed that while i was able to keep the game very balanced stat wise....the computer and i were still shooting a very high percentage (usually 60 percent") trying to correct this, I turned off clutch factor and increased the defensive stopping power about two notches above the default. now the computer shoots a percentage that is way too low. And my percentage is still way too high

I was wondering if anyone has this problem as well and knows how to correct this with sliders? And should i turn clutch factor back on?

I too want to know what Defensive Stopping Power does? Correct me if I'm wrong but the default setting is 1/4 of the way for this slider, where as the other sliders are 1/2 way.

I believe that for defensive stopping power the lower it is the harder defense the CPU plays. I dont know why that it but when I turned it up i noticed that the CPU defense was just poor but when i turned it all the way down they were always where the ball was when i was on offense. SO I think its a backwards meter

I tried this last night. I turned the stopping power all the way down and surprise, Michael Jordan had 6 consecutive dunks flying right past his defender. Then I put it all the way up and VOILA, no more dunks.

Consecutive posts with exactly opposite results.... man, I wish Sega told us how it's really supposed to work...

LOL it's weird then. I don't know what to say then. i guess its the user's interpretation. It could be that Jordan was tired or something. You have to really pay attention to the defense though and not the offensive player. Put in on what setting you like and pay close attention to the defense to really decide which setting you want it at

But also you gotta evaluate who you had on offense. I mean Jordan can still get by defenders no doubt. No one man can contain one person the whole game hence the need for double teams so even with the toughest defense expect to blow by some defenders. That's in real life as well. Also who were you playing against? and why does the defensive stopping power start at 1/4 on default. WHy not 1/2? which led me to think that that one is a backwards meter.
