It throws me off too. I'm not used to hearing fans counting past 3, or not backwards from 10.

I'm all for fans going crazy and chanting stuff, as long as it's relevant. Neither fanbase I think is known for being one of the top ones in basketball, but knowing how badly both markets want to win, this should be fun for both sides.

Nothing dirty about it, call it by the rule and keep it moving.

And I hate that it’s called the “Zaza rule” when that was happening WELL before that Kawhi injury happened. But recency bias reigns supreme.

Zaza was the recent one that prompted the enforcement of it but Bruce Bowen was notorious for doing that years ago.

I know I'm in the minority but I'm not a big fan of the F1 designation for unintentional ankle rolls on closeouts. Something about adding an extra layer of punishment for a natural basketball movement just doesn't sit well with me, particularly when the shot goes in; that's an insane swing for circumstantial contact. If it's clearly intentional, I get it. Otherwise, dude was just trying to close out.

I understand what you're saying. But that is definitely a prime example of landing in a dudes airspace. A shooter should be able to land without harm.

What I can't stand is when guys throw their body at a defender in the shooting motion and get called for the foul. Like he's jumping into the defender. That's never made any sense.

Dwayne Wade was the master of that.
