I think Lebron just didnt want to be pressured into the contest, I mean he had to say no about 5 times before reporters got off his back..

I think that the real reason was because Lebron knows he's not creative enough to win the contest. Honestly, his dunks are nice cause he gets up fast and hard, but not creatively. He doesn't seem to have that creative type of juice flowing within him like those previous superstar type winners. He has shoes to fit into which is definitely big.

I still know there are tight dunks out there. People are being creative every moment. The 720 dunk is one that is out there but people are scared to get into. I'm sure that next year might be better if they get enough media out there for those raw dunkers. Kobe, Carter, T-Mac, Richardson, Smith that just won, Lebron if he is ready. I heard that Lebron wanted a million to enter though....

....You do realize he left the Cavs game Thursday with dehydration, and he had played 3 games in three nights and had the all-star game to worry about? I'm sure he probably didn't want to do things for 5 straight days, especially when he's not at 100%

Does anybody here think LeBron is the kind of guy to jake an injury or be afraid of a little competion? As far as creativity goes, let us take a look at Dominique shall we. You can argue that Niques's dunks weren't all that "creative", but they were still SICK because of his jumping ability and the thunderous power he brought on each bang. I think of Bron as that kind of dunker. Also I think he has a little more magic then he lets out of his bag of tricks during the games.
