Josh Selby played at Memphis for a bit. I don’t remember him in summer league but I watched him play a few times during the lockout.

The Barnes pick is a risky one, but those are risks you need to take if you want to get a star.

Either everyone will rip then for ignoring the obvious choice in Suggs, or talk about their genius drafting history.

Its paid off in the past with a steal in Siakam over the obvious choice in Skal, and failed big time when they took Bruno over Capela, so we'll see.

But Barnes and Flynn had nice games. It's a new era in Raptors basketball, but hopefully its one which leads to even more success than the last one.

Its paid off in the past with a steal in Siakam over the obvious choice in Skal, and failed big time when they took Bruno over Capela, so we'll see.

Overall he looked great out there. He keeps shooting like that the sky is the limit. He's so big and long. That steal he had. It's almost a sign of things to come if you a care of your dribble around him.

Defense is his strength and shooting was his weakness.

Not that people are saying he'll end up the same, but those comparisons were made about a guy like Kawhi when he was drafted too, so obviously guys can develop their shot once working with NBA coaches for months/years.

That falls into the whole drafting for need vs best available/fit. You always hear draft for BPA, but get criticized for not filling needs. Especially in the NBA with the draft before FA. We're going to find out if it makes sense for Cavs to draft Mobley and then give Allen $20M APY. Are they really going to run a Sexton-Garland-Okoro-Mobley-Allen lineup. But, usually that's when they try to move on from previous player the next year. So guys like Fultz, Siakam, Allen, Reddish are guys you can see in the next couple seasons getting moved

I forgot that it was the Raptors who drafted Bruno who was "2 years away from being 2 years away".
