Funny enough all the discourse about “hating” on Caitlin Clark and all this other mess, but crickets about stuff like this to Angel Reese

Because we got a narrative to push and collectively decided to cut This

    Down to this

This is what a racist dog whistle looks like, cause they know exactly who’s gonna come for Angel Reese based on that last clip that’s being shared by all these media outlets and quoted by all the aggregator accounts. You only getting that first clip in the replies

yeah, nasty work. She got ejected from last night's game too for talking back to the ref, they double technical her. I read many of the online comments of calling her thug, thuggish, ghetto. Then they will play worse highlight of her vs the best highlight of Caitlin of something she did many games ago. But yet the last game Caitlin played she only had 3 points but they won't show that highlight and act like that game didn't even happen.

Much like I don't like how they try to compare Chennedy Carter career stats vs Caitlin current stats. Chennedy is not even a starter, so of course a starter SHOULD have better stats. But what did have Chennedy have last night ? 16 points off the bench, so she can score if she wants to, but her role on the team is defense. Also don't like how act and treat Boston like she some random bum player on the Fever. Not even acknowledging she was the #1 pick and rookie of the year last year and the star of the Fever team.

Just look at the photos they used. Reese, warming up - of course the arena is going to be emptier - vs CC mid-game.

Reminds me of when CC *first* did the "U Can't See Me" to HVL and it was just "competitive fire", but when Reese did it, it naturally got a different reaction.

And that ejection last night was ridiculous.

Opened IG this morning to see posts I missed about the rivalry between DT and Diggins-Smith (on ESPW maybe?) ahead of their game last night only to see comments like, "who cares, CC didn't play".

CC might be the best thing to happen to the W; but her fans are certainly the worst.

I've really never watched the WNBA but to casuals like me. Caitlin Clark has definitely piqued my interest. She got me checking highlights and box scores for the first time ever. She's like the Women's version of Curry.

But the WNBA has an identity crisis. When people are tuning in just for Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. Two rookies. That's wild.

Like what? Is it really attention for the league or for CC? These people still have ZERO respect for the WNBA and the women in the league and women's sports in general. They're still ****ting on the league and the sport and calling them boring and they aren't watching the other teams or players in the league, they're watching Caitlin Clark games. This isn't like Tiger Woods growing golf because eyes or on all these other golfers because they're all playing in the same tournaments or Serena with tennis and the tournaments they're watching because of her. People are tuning into CC games and peacing out.

It just blows me that there's this notion that A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart and all these other elite athletes should be bowing at the feet of Caitlin Clark because she's gonna stop the 28 year old league from folding. Give me a break.
It is ****ing boring though. This is probably the most attention the WNBA has ever gotten. And for better or for worse at least it's trending now.

I definitely don't blame the OG's in that league though. Treating these rookies like royalty would rub me the wrong way. But something has to break. Nobody pays attention to that league.

Edit: Just saw they are shooting about 30 plus percent each. Jesus lol

A’Ja Wilson is nice and the best woman’s player in the world by a mile. You should check her out. The team(Las Vegas Aces)is nice and going for a 3peat.

The women version of Steph Curry are Sue Bird, Sabrina Ionescu and Diana Taurasi. I been watching WNBA on and off since the Lisa Leslie, Rebecca Lobo and Dawn Staley days. I remember when Maya Moore. Cappie Pondexter, Candance Parker came into the league. They hype they received. Hell it wasn't but a few years ago Sabrina Ionescu was deemed the person to save the WNBA, but then covid hit and it blocked her shine.

If anything, Caitlin Clark is a way less skilled version of Sabrina Ionescu. Sabrina came into the league as a well rounded 3pt threat. Caitlin is a one trick pony who heavily rely on deep 3s. But if they aren't hitting, she has nothing else to offer. IF she played defense, she would be a 3 and D player. But she don't play defense so she is just a 3 player.

You have people who think that currently of her. She is a defensive liability. And with the way she turns the ball over, she is an offensive one too. If you noticed in recent games, they don't have her bring the ball up the court anymore most of the time. Instead they have Kelsey Mitchell do it.

Not at all and anyone that says/believes that is just talking. It’s still way too soon to project what she’ll be like in a few years so folks trying to make some projections off of a handful of games is just pointless.

What I will say, especially for folks like you that are trying to get into it is to try not to view them thru the same lens we do with the men. If you can strip that away, then you can get a better sense of how good they are, especially in a league where athleticism and quickness is stripped down.

Just when I was about to give the Sun their flowers for another strong defensive performance, the Liberty roll them in the 4th.

Sun have length, play great team defense, and having Jones back from injury is big, but they lack a closer who can take over a game down the stretch, IMO.

New York has two; LV has two; Phoenix - shoot - they might have three now; Minnesota (Napheesa), Seattle (Jewell), and Dallas (Arike) have one.
