Maybe it's my imagination, but IMO the change in the rules about not allowing those ridiculous bating foul calls by the offense has also been accompanied by an allowance of somewhat more physical play by defenders all across the boards. I hope it stay that way because IMO there is a good balance right now in terms of freedom of movement and allowing defenders to get into players a bit more than we've seen for the last several years.
