How loud was Sam Presti’s laugh when he hung up the phone on Leon Rose knowing he wasn’t giving up a 1st rounder this year and the protections on their other picks wouldn’t be conveyed until half-a-decade later?

@TimBontemps
What the Knicks did tonight:
NYK trades 11th pick to OKC
OKC trades 3 firsts (23 DEN, DET, WASH) to NYK
NYK then trades 23 DEN, 4 seconds to CHA for 13th pick
NYK then trade 13th pick & Kemba Walker to DET for MKE's 25 first
NYK trades 11, Kemba, 4 2nds & gets 3 future 1stsComment

Re: NBA Draft 2022
So really....what's up with Liddell and Kennedy? They're getting passed over hard. Sucks that the Bulls lost their second round pick tonight on that BS tampering garbage by the league for Lonzo.Comment

Re: NBA Draft 2022
The Warriors are annoying for get Patrick Baldwin Jr to fall to them. That's a possibly nice pickup. That team FO just knows what it's doing.
Pretty cool Cavs got Evans brother. That will make Isiah even more happy. Nice little strategic move there.

NBA Draft 2022
I don’t hate the Grizz draft moves but losing Melton is a blow. He was a huge reason they kept winning games when Ja or Brooks missed extended stretches this year. He’s a starter level/solid 6th man talent. Memphis also added Kenneth Lofton Jr on a two-way contract. As much as I hate to see Melton go they’ve killed all their recent draft picks, good enough to basically go 12 deep this past season and have 3 young players gunning for MIP. Going to give them the benefit of the doubt here.
Lakers bring in Shareef O’Neal, Pippen JR, Cole Swider.. hoping for another Caruso/Reaves I’m sure.
Raptors signed Ron Harper Jr on a two-way. Was never super high on him but he’s a super smart player with a big frame. If he can grow to defend the 4 I could see him developing similar Draymond-like impacts, not at tier 1 defensive level but with a better jumper.
Detroit has done really well this off-season so far. Cleared some cap space, landed Duren and Ivey.. I’m not as high on Ivey as most but no doubt landing two players of that caliber they likely weren’t expected to be able to land was huge. Pair that with Bey and Cade. They’ve got the makings of a nice squad.
I don’t actually think the Kings ****ed up as much as some seem to think. Murray was sitting around the top 5 in nearly every mock, and at some point they couldn’t just keep drafting guards. This pick only looks bad if you’re one of those who view Ivey as a lock to be a star IMO.
I really like Mark Williams to the Hornets. I’m actually just really high on Williams in general. In todays NBA he checks all the boxes you want for a big man. I feel like he could have immediate impact. Don’t believe he’s star bound but I think he could easily look like a JaVale McGee type (the good not bad) right from the jump. I have no doubt that Ball will make life easy for him on those rim running dimes.Last edited by ojandpizza; 06-24-2022, 12:41 AM.Comment
