11/30 - 12/13 Games Discussion Thread

I don't know I really like some of the pieces there. They got a really nice core in place. This is a guards league now. That group just doesn't fit together.

Dame time in Boston would rejuvenate that team. I'm sure of it.

Wouldn’t they have to break that core up to get Dame though? You don’t think Portland wouldn’t ask for one of Tatum or Brown in addition giving up other players(which let’s be real, outside of those 2, who’s really that attractive that Portland would demand to get as well)and picks? Time-Lord

And it’s not like his path to a ring will get any easier because he’d be dealing with us, Milwaukee, Miami, Philly and possibly Chicago. He wouldn’t be winning no ring in Boston either so he’s better off staying.

Yea im thinking Tatum. But I'm thinking more for the long haul. Dame in Boston would likely attract a big FA. I like JB. He's improved so much since he's gotten to the league.

I'm interested what Boston fans think about it.

Nah, I'm not trading Tatum for a 31 year old Dame, it is Brown and other stuff. Tatum seems to have a bit of AD in him and he probably would be more comfortable behind a clear #1 in Dame. I would take Tatum/Dame over Philly and the Heat who might have a higher floor but are more a sum of parts kind of team. After that you gotta get lucky.

If he doesn't want to go from a 0.3% chance of winning the Title to maybe a 5% chance of winning it then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

When did the whole “Tatum isn’t a #1” thing start on the internet, too?

Was this last season and during the playoffs?

Is it an internet thing? I haven’t seen anyone or heard anyone besides myself make such a claim. Some shade on his crying towards officials, poor body language, and being selfish, but that’s about it. And even then that talk is drowned out by the overly positive supporters.

For the record my feelings towards him, the Celtics core, and valuing Brown over Tatum have been consistent for some time now. This isn’t No woke up on a Saturday pissed off take.

The age is why I was hesitant with a Sixers trade. But, with Joel's health, he might only have 3-4 years of his prime. So, it would have been an all-in move. But once I found out he wanted that 2 year 107 million extension, that changed my mind real quick lol. I wouldn't feel comfortable with the team paying him over $50M for his age 36-37 seasons.

Yeah, I don't wanna be the team that gives the extension he is seeking. Which is a double whammy for the Blazers, the guy wants to stay and wants an extension. The mediocrity extension!

Oh I already know you stance on it since you have been saying it for a min, lol.

I’ve seen a few people and read a few articles about people trying to attach him with AD as far as not a #1 option and was baffled by it because he’s shown over the years that he can and is a #1, unlike AD based on his play since they won it 2 years ago.

He has #1 talent and also has that "I wonder if Tatum will bring it tonight" AD passivity going on.

Which is funny since I'm ****ing sick of hearing about how Kobe was his favorite player and seeing that stupid picture of him with Kobe, yet I could point to some flaws in Kobe's game but you know what I didn't have to guess on a daily basis? "I wonder if Kobe will bring it tonight". Why don't you copy that part of his game.

On the offensive end he (Booker) is. I was never crazy about Kobe's efficiency (shooting wise that's a totally different subject for me). But Kobe was ruthless on both sides of the court. It's where I respected him.
