Lakers look old and thrown together. Is there anyone else LeBron can bring back from the good old days? Iverson?

Part of the allure of adding Davis was that he was going to be one of the young guys while also becoming their best player when they inevitably added vets to help contend for rings. The downside/risk was always going to be his health... The issue is he's not stayed healthy, on top of also not developing into their best player either. He's arguably regressed, and that on top of his injury history is not a great look for the right now or even the post-Bron Lakers either.

Regardless of the rest of the guys I think Davis and his current level of play is concerning. He looks un-motivated, but he's won at this point and the motivation could easily come back once the playoffs start.. Hard to know until they get here. But the rest of his game is also off. His shot has abandoned him, he currently looks nowhere close defensively to the guy you could stick on Bam one play and Jimmy Butler the next, and seeing him look like the un-aggressive solid player and not a dominant star while going against guys like Porzingis and KAT just can't be what the Lakers envisioned just two seasons after he had the most impactful season of his career.

He's no slouch by any means and one of the most talented guys to ever play, but he's a guy who was expected to be running for the MVP not a guy who looks like he MIGHT crack the All-Star team. They traded the future to get him, whether he and Bron ever won anything together or not was just going to be the bonus. When Bron is done he was supposed to be the guy that was competing for best in the league with tons of cap room to build around.

Problem I see with this is Tatum and Randle are both near the bottom but both of them will hoist these up with defenders draped all over them. Randle playing as well as he did last year despite the difficult shot selection was probably a curse for him. That was never sustainable long term.

Seth is probably the best pure shooter in basketball. Maybe for the past 3-4 years even. Obviously he can’t do the stuff his brother does but just catch and shoot, pump fake one dribble he’s lethal. Short Klay.

Also I wonder what all that considers “mid range”.. just looked at Seth’s by zone shooting on bball reference and he’s 67% on shots 10-16 ft. That’s those pump fake one dribble shots I was talking about above lol.
