    2/24 - 3/7 Games Discussion Thread

23 games left in the season(Am I the only one who would prefer that teams play half of the their games before the ASB and the last 41 games after the break?)so we’re in the final stretch run of the season.

Harden makes his Sixers’ debut, soon. And in BK, hopefully the team starts to become whole with Ben making his season debut, KD returning from his injury, Joe Harris finally returning from Ankle Surgery and Kyrie being allowed to play home games just in time for the start of the playoffs.

Expects the restrictions to be lifted by mid-March, Kyrie to be back by the 15th.

Been saying for the last month he would be back by the end of March at the latest.

But I know some of the more reliable folks on Nets Twitter have had that date specifically circled for awhile.

I was about to say Pack's been telling us lol.

Glad he's coming back, need to see that full strength Nets group come playoff time. Don't see how any NBA fan would want to see a player only being able to play half the playoff games.

Not specific to Kyrie, more of a general answer to that question, but because they're bonafide haters. They don't want to see dude's succeed because it makes a haters job harder.

Knicks and Kemba have agreed to let him sit out the rest of the season, to work out in preparation for next season, per Woj.

So just a friendly reminder of where things stand as we lock in for the final stretch of the season. Wonder how similar or how different this will look when it’s all said and done?

I wasn't paying attention to the playoffs last year. What is the play in format?

I thought it was 7v10, 8v9, with 7 and 8 having home court, but I guess I was wrong?

So does 7 face 8, the winner is the 7 seed, loser plays winner of 9v10 and that winner becomes the 8 seed?

Yeah it's always been set up so that for a 9/10 seed to get in they need to win 2 games and for a 7/8 seed to lose out they need to lose 2 games. Golden State lost to LAL as the 8th seed and the lost to the 9th seed Grizzlies with Ja and Steph having that epic showdown.

Kemba Walker is held in high regard by many players in the Knicks locker room. Some of the young players in particular gravitated toward Walker, known league-wide as an exceptional teammate.

Based on what he said on Wednesday, it doesn’t sound like Thibodeau or the Knicks are pivoting to playing younger players more minutes to open the second half. Maybe that pivot comes if the Knicks fall far from the play-in tournament, but it’s not happening at the moment.

This is why I’m not a fan of the play-in.

Anyway, no KD, Joe, Dragic, Ben or Kyrie tonight. KD should be back by the Raptors game, same with Dragic and it sounds like Ben could make his debut by the Heat game.

It's a very confusing situation. I've given up at this point. If the Nets make it to the conference finals, I'd be shocked. I'm being dramatic. Leave me be [emoji23]
