Sucks, but not even mad about that loss tbh. Bucks played hard and never gave up. Those non-Embiid minutes will be an issue as it has been, especially when it's Giannis and a non-Embiid and non-Harden lineup. Tobias stepped up and Harden has his best game, Niang hit timely shots, so can't be mad. Would rather we had a better ATO play than Joel taking a contested fade

Schedule gets easier after this though. Det, Charlotte, Cleveland, Indiana, Toronto, Indiana, Detroit. I'd rest Embiid and Harden in at least 2 of those last 7. The Charlotte game is the 1st of a B2B and it's at 12:30E. I would sit them that game and I would sit them the final game against Detroit so it'll give them a week off before the 1st round

Cade keeping Detroit in the game. Rookie of the year. Locked it up in my opinion. Mobley hurt his ankle the other day. I think Cade is a lock now.

Cade locked it up. They are going to lose this game. But he's without a doubt the best rookie this year.

I just don't trust Harden in the playoffs lol i'm sorry. I would say i'm a pro harden person but man.(I know he was good today, i'm just saying) The Bucks feel like they still have a switch they can flip. It's mostly Giannis because i still don't trust alot of those other guys. He's so good. Jokic is still my MVP but it's been a fun race no matter who wins that.

Agree with that. One of the closest race in recent memory.

I would guess Cade finishes 3rd in the voting. Barnes is the front runner at this point IMO.

We could possibly see the TWolves and Pelicans in the playoffs over the Lakers and Clippers.

I'm all here for the aftermath from the media if that happens.

We used to be a proper country.

Anyway, like I’ve said all year, this squad ain’t winning no title this year.

Folks can keep hiding behind that “Y’all got KD and Kyrie” stuff if y’all want to. Just remember while you’re doing that, realize that you’re also going to be the first one with the jokes when they lose in the 2nd round or worse.

Ahhhh just by what you said. I keep hearing Mobley is the leader on most boards currently. It's split between the 3 in my opinion. Everyone else is hurt or hasn't produced. When you look at Cades numbers. I think he wins

If he loses. He will be the second rookie to average his numbers (17-5-5) and not win rookie of the year. The other rookie to lose was Magic Johnson to Bird.

Mobley is definitely the favorite in betting odds. It’s a really tight race. I just think they’re all roughly the same in terms of raw numbers. Barnes has them beat in the advanced numbers. And he’s obviously a pretty big reason for his team being better than the other two.

But I agree with what your saying. Nets look really bad right now.

I can understand that. If we can get this aggressive in Harden in the playoffs, it can work. As long it isn't the dribble the air out of the ball and either step back 3 or pass with 2 seconds left Harden or the throw his self in the lane and expect a foul and complain Harden, hopefully we'll be good lol. It's just those non-Embiid minutes will likely doom us. It feels like 2019 Sixers where we don't have a competent backup Center. At this point Millsap is a better option than DJ, but neither provides much on either end. I wish they would at least give Bassey a look.

I think voter fatigue is hurting Giannis. Jokic is the central hub of the entire offense. Without Murray and MPJ, he kept them afloat. He isn't just a empty stat sheet stuffer. I just would like to see Embiid win it. It feels like this is one of the years where if he doesn't win it, I don't see him having one of these mostly healthy seasons. Even with Harden, Sixers go as Embiid goes. Yeah the foul hunting bothers a lot of people, so I can understand. It's frustrating to watch at times, even as a fan. But stretch after he came back from Covid and on, should mean something. But, I wouldn't be mad if Jokic gets it. I just don't know if being a 6th seed would hurt Jokic.

Is there a clear favorite for DPOY? This feels like a year, where there isn't a clear cut guy or even a pair of guys.

I would say Barnes just because he's been the most consistent. I would rank it Barnes, Mobley, Cade. If Cade started out like he has been lately, he would be the clear cut guy. I think team success, consistency, and impact gives Barnes the nod

I just don't understand when people started using team success to rate rookies. Rookies are inherently on bad teams.

When did Greg Monroe sign with Utah? I can't keep up with this dude.

DPOY seems totally up in the air. People keep touting that Giannis is the front runner as part of his MVP argument but based on current betting odds, he might not even be a finalist for DPOY. I think the current favorites are Bam Adebayo and Marcus Smart but Bam may have missed too many games to get the votes he needs.
