Re: Yao Ming is in ID 2003
YES!!!!!
All rookies, all NBA players are in ID2003.
As I stated in an earlier post, I played the finished version up in Illinois (HighVoltage Headquarters) late last week. My Uncle works for them.
I should be getting my copy of ID2003 from my Uncle this coming Monday (10/21). -

Re: ID 2003
Is this game gonna meet all the expectations of all real nba fans? I mean will it feel like a real flow of the true nba game or is it gonna be n updated roster version of the game? I read your early post and you said you played it and thats why I'm asking.

Re: ID 2003
This game is going to be the right up there with NBA 2K3...
I had a chance to play the finished version last week when I was up in Illinois (High Voltage Headquarters). My Uncle works for them.
The game has "ALL" the players for this season.
The reviews were terrible for the game...but the game I played was much better then last years. The graphics are so life-like; i.e.: arenas, players, etc.
The game play is much improved and the sliders will let you customize the game to your liking (arcade or sim whichever you prefer).
The Create-a-Player is the best I've seen in a basketball game. You can even edit the real players. The Franchise mode is good...not as in-depth as NBA2K3 or Madden 2003, but good.
The reviewers bashed the game because there isn't any online capability.
Just so everyone knows, I'm a big NBA 2K-series fan, and ID2003 will give 2K3 a run for who is best.
I bought NBA 2K3 when it came out and it is great...just waiting to get online with X-Box Live so I have the real-life roster updates.
But both games should be included in one's gaming-library.

Re: ID 2003
umm guys...
i think its pretty fair to say that EA, Sega, and High Voltage all made Yao in their game just in case he would sign before they went gold.
Obviously EA and Sega had to strip him b/c of the signing situation. So i'm more than positive that ID will have him in the game since they do not have to remove him."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: ID 2003
No, Ming was not a CAP. None of the players in the game were CAP's. He and the other rookies and players were in the game. And I played the "finished version" of the game...not a beta version.

Re: ID 2003
Just b/c someone asked of course he's in the game. The only reason he and the others weren't in Live or 2k3 is b/c the players hadn't signed or been on their new team when the companies started sealing the boxes up. There's no reason he wouldn't be in a game that hasn't been released yet.Comment
