    Ja Morant next Grizzlies game:

I’ll say this: It’s been…interesting seeing the commentary regarding all the stuff Ja’s been involved in over the last year compared to the Kyrie Twitter mess from earlier in the season.

****, I’ve already seen people fall for this “Ja needs help” BS [emoji849]

Jordan selling his stake in the Hornets.

I wonder what's next for him? Does he buy a stake in some other team? Just step away from the basketball scene?

He'll still have a minority stake. He probably just sees an opportunity to make an obscene amount of money and still have his presence with the franchise.

I've mentioned before how I'm a fan of Nascar and that reddit is giving me some "bless your heart" laughs over this. They don't realize how small time Nascar is compared to owning an NBA franchise. With the money he can get from selling his majority stake he could afford 10 well funded Nascar teams, and thats a conservative estimate. But they are all convinced he is selling in order to redirect funds to 23XI.

Looks like someone found Ja Morant’s IG account from 10 years ago

Thought the reaction to all of this had already hit peak weirdness, but now people are combing through a 12-13 year olds IG account. You think you’ve hit rock bottom and just keep falling.

Nascar ownership is nowhere close to the earnings potential an NBA team offers.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

You think whoever buys them relocates the Hornets? If the new owner is from Seattle RIP Hornets welcome back Sonics.

The NBA is the one league where I don't think any team needs to relocate.

League would be way better off with expansion over relocation.

Not just the earning potential but the operating costs don't compare. Cup charters cost about $150-200 million and then it takes about ~$10 million a year to fund a cup car. Jordan doesn't need to sell the Hornets in order to afford that. Bless their hearts

I believe NBAs jersey deal with Nike is up after the 24/25 season.

Reason I bring this up now is because the NHLs deal is up after 23/24 and today announced Fanatics as their official jersey sponsor.

So perhaps by next season we find out about the NBAs new sponsor, and really hope its not Fanatics as well. If they're interested in becoming an official jersey sponsor rather than just doing the horrible replicas they make (NBAs especially, the Fanatics replicas are so much worse than the swingmans), they could be trying to get an NBA official jersey deal too.
