That last part reminds me of something:

    1. We need less podcasting shows in 2024(Not just players but in general).

    2. Players need to stop acting like gossipy, sassy *** women and realize we don’t NEED to know every single thing that went on in the locker room or every secret. Every time I see one of these clips on Twitter, it definitely gives off “Girllll, do I have some tea to tell you! [emoji1501][emoji1501][emoji1501]” vibes lol

Fr everybody and they moms got a podcast now. It's oversaturated. You think I'm gonna make time to watch every podcast out there? Nope.

I fck with Gil's, JJ's, and sometimes PG. Tried to watch Rasheed and Bonzi and thats when I was like yeah, some guys really don't need to be doing this.

Gil gives me shenanigans and the entertainment value, JJ gives me the serious insight, and PG just because he is a current player. I'm good, my plate is full

McCants ruins Gil’s show most episodes for me.

I don't know if an 11 year NBA career can ever truly been seen as disappointing, but I swear he was always a guy who was hyped up but never really had lift off.

I thought he had a great career. He's been playing ball since 14 or some ****. Back then he was playing grown *** men. He opened the door for many Spanish guards in my opinion. One of his most underrated abilities was his defense. He was really good on that side of the ball. I tip my hat to him. Happy Fishing

Really gifted passer and ended up being a really strong defender too. Made really good decision with the ball but lacked a lot of traits you need from a modern guard. Probably would have been a better player in a past era. I thought he looked his best when he was the Cavs backup and then he got hurt.

I always wanted to see him in Miami or San Antonio. I think under Pop or Spo they would have really unlocked his potential.

Mans had a solid career, relative to most guys drafted in the 1st round.

I wouldn’t call him a disappointment though but that also depends on what your expectations of him were at the time he got drafted.

I think his best play was with the Suns when they went undefeated in the bubble.

After his run with the Suns. I thought he should of landed on the Celtics that off season. I still think that would of been the best place given their team make up at that point.

I think that's the overall problem. We try to fit these players in a box next to their draft number. We need to stop doing this. (But I know it won't. We crave those numbers)

It may sound odd but he is closer to the MVP of the show for me.
When he comes out with his garbage takes it usually leads to a deeper discussion of the topic. Without him its just Gil and Kenyon agreeing with each other.

Its odd cause thats the reason I hate the First Take style cookie cutter sports show. But the difference is probably that A)McCants doesn't feel like manufactured dissent for the sake of dissent, and B) on those First Take shows it doesn't ever get deeper, everyone just repeats surface level talking points over each other

Sounds like OG to Knicks was a long time coming.

Last season Knicks offered Raptors Quickley, their 2023 first and some conditional/protected 2023 firsts as well.

Knicks ended up with the 23rd overall pick and all their protected 1sts last year from other deals didn't become firsts. So the trade would've been Quickley, a cap dump, 23rd and some 2nds for OG.

Instead they just got Barrett instead of a cap dump, late 1st and 2nds. I'd say that's a nice consolation prize for waiting.

FVV is the example of what happens if you wait and it doesn't pan out. But now OG is looking like the example of what happens if you wait and eventually do get a deal done.

Knicks went 17-9 after the deadline and Quickley averaged about 20ppg on 40% shooting from 3, so their pick wouldn't have been impacted by this deal much if at all, but OG instead of Quickley for the Heat series, perhaps that could've put them in the ECF.
