Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
It may not be what comes to mind when you hear the phrase but yes. That's the reason society frowns upon men in positions of power having sexual relations with their underlings. Its typically an abuse of power. Its why many businesses will dismiss an employee that does it. Ask a female if having their boss make sexual advances towards them feels predatory.
If you're a dude who frequents bars with the goal of hooking up with drunk women you're also a sexual predator. The phrase isn't limited to its most heinous forms.Comment

Meh..way harsh a term IMO.
We don’t know how the “relationship” began. If she threw herself at him.. is he still a predator?
That man was doing his thing for all I know. Happens damn near everywhere.Comment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
We know literally nothing about what happened and speculating is pointless. Calling him a sexual predator without knowing anything is just needless character assassination but also laughing off the idea that he might be a sexual predator doesn’t do anything productive eitherComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
Sexual predator for something somebody else also wanted and consented to? Nahhhh
If a female goes to a bar looking for drunk men to hook up with is she also a sexual predator? If not then also nahhhh to that example too. Anybody that’s been to college knows how many girls would go get with drunk dudes who otherwise would never touch them otherwise.. Are they sexual predators?Comment

"The independent law firm probe into Udoka found that he used crude language in his dialogue with a female subordinate before the start of an improper workplace relationship with the woman, an element that significantly factored into the severity of his suspension, sources told ESPN in September.
Those investigative findings -- which described verbiage on Udoka's part that was deemed especially concerning coming from a workplace superior -- contributed to what was an unlikely pathway to his reinstatement as Celtics coach in 2023, sources said.
The power dynamic associated with a superior's improper relationship with a staff member was the primary finding and policy violation cited in the law firm's report, which was commissioned by the Celtics and completed in September, sources said."
Crude language resulted in the Suns being up for sale. We may not know what was said, but it sure seems like both the law firm and the Celtics deemed it as predatory behavior.
We need to stop downplaying stuff like this. "It happens everywhere." Well so does white people saying the N word, so lets not be too harsh on SarverComment

As for your opening statement, you just showed how clueless you are.
Some of yall really need to have a conversation with females to understand how they feel when a superior pressures them into sexual relationships. Or work with females that come to you with tears in their eyes because they are scared they are about to lose their job because they had to block their boss on social media because he was sending creepy messagesComment

Yes. Thats why they came up with the term cougar.

Bruh…you’re reaching.
Who says she was pressured into a sexual relationship?
She knew that man was dating and had a kid with a celebrity. Pretty sure he doesn’t have to beg for nothing.
Did he pressure her to book flights for Nia Long so she could get busy with him or was she glad to do it to continue their secret relationship?
This is the problem with how the Celtics organization handled this mess.
They gave no information whatsoever and didn’t fire him or punish her. This makes Udoka out to be King Kong or something in the eyes of many.
Remember this only came out because her husband initially caught HER on their home Ring camera talking to Udoka on the phone.
He pressured a married woman to cheat on her husband? Yeah right.Comment

Sure your examples are as you described, not every single work situation is that. Sometimes people just want to ****, sometimes there is no pressure, sometimes the females are the ones initiating.. You can't just lump every single instance into the one you describe as every male that ever ****s somebody at work was a creepy predator lol.Last edited by ojandpizza; 11-02-2022, 02:03 PM.Comment

I've worked at a company that had a toxic environment where middle and upper management used the office as their casual relationship repository. It never ended well for the underling. Even in the scenarios where it did have all the signs of "well its just two consenting adults who mutually decided to have an affair" in the end it was anything but.
Sure at the time she may have been happy to book those flights because she thought it would bode well for her career. Thats kinda what makes it predatory dude. It has similarities to older men who pursue young woman because the age gap creates a power dynamic.
My last comment on the matter until additional info comes out, I don't object to him getting a HC gig with the Nets. Not my intention to come off as saying he should be blacklisted from the league because of this. But if dude shows sexual predator tendencies, I'm going to call him that.Comment

I think it’s more because you ask questions that appear to some of us to have really obvious answers, like if someone going after drunk people is a sexual predator.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
