Watching Kawhi do this over and over was probably the most annoying. Dude wouldn’t even be looking towards the rim get whistle/contact and sling the ball up from his knee and free throws. Harden getting continuations with those swim moves up under defenders arms when he has the ball down at his shins.

Idk I like it. I like the more travel calls as well.

Yes, I'm here for them not letting players take 3-5 steps all the time now.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I’m talking specifically when a player makes a shot and they say no basket he got fouled on the floor. I’ve seen a couple where the player never puts the ball back down on the floor and they don’t count it.

I’m definitely more in the mindset of soccer where they let you play an advantage in some spots where fouls occur. I just don’t think fouling should be rewarded in those spots where the ball goes side out and they don’t count the shot.

I'm not out on AK and still am going to trust him to figure things out here, but it's very....GarPaxy to extend a dude in secret basically before the season and then it to randomly come out in December basically. Those are not good vibes to me.

They must really like him there, which is great. But just to extend a guy like that in general with a deal like that one with that many years when you’ve been around .500 and won literally a single playoff game is not good vibes anyways. Much less the secret part of it and all that. Now they are in a position where if things do go south because he had two years left anyways you’re just stuck with him for the next however many years. Not like they are going to let him go and just pay him when he’s got like 6 years or whatever left. Not that they would let him go, but league turnover with coaches and players in general is always unpredictable.

Like I get the extension. He was their guy. That was one of the first things AK did when he took over the team during the COVID shut down. He got rid of that idiot Boylen and went right after Billy and as soon as they put talent around him, the team was a complete turn around from the dumpster fire it had been and in the playoffs for the first time in a long time and they were trending up. They hired him on a four year deal and extended him at the start of year 3. That is nothing unheard of in this league. The way they went about doing it is the only real issue I have with it. Firing him if things go too far left really won't be an issue. The team literally just did it with Boylen. They signed him to a multi year extension in May of 2019 (GarPax stupidity) and fired him August of 2020. They've already paid Hoiberg and Boylen at the same time so I don't see it being an issue if they decide they want to move on from Billy say next year (cause there is zero chance they fire him this season)

I assumed this is what you meant but I still like the new ruling personally. Just because he didn’t put the ball back down doesn’t mean he was going to shoot when he picked it up. That was always my issue with the call in the past. We had dudes looking like they were going to make a pass, do a euro, stuff like that just toss up a shot once there was contact/whistle and it was considered continuation. At times even after throwing in an extra step after the foul.

Idk maybe there have been more questionable ones that I haven’t seen, but I like not giving continuation in situations where it isn’t obvious they were for sure going to shoot. You can pick the ball up for more reasons than rising into a shot.

I still don't know how much fans will care about the in season tournament.

People don't even care about division/conference titles as much today as they have in the past in the major NA sports, so not sure how much people will really care about this.

People still care about Conference Titles, especially when it means your team is 4 wins away from winning an NBA Title.

And that’s true of any pro sport and also College.

Basketball fans will watch and talk about that tournament if/when it happens, even if it's not in a 100% positive way. I'm sure that's all the NBA wants. If they name it after someone/something significant that would help.

Oh best believe, people will watch the tournament so they can tweet/post/make tiktoks to let you know all about how much they hate what they're watching. That's the world we live in today.
