But to entertain his idea. Boston defense has been outstanding. Even in that game 2. Boston just turned the ball over so much. That first half Warriors made a lot of shots over that defense. Warriors can't lose the next game. Warriors are just too small. No rebounding
I wouldn't say in game 2 that first half GS just made shots at all they missed like 6 give layups in the first half of game 2. The turnovers did hurt Boston for sure though. The rebounding was worse tonight for GS and on top of that it seemed like ever offensive rebound also lead to a basket. It was crazy what Bostons shooting was tonight % wise on offensive rebounds.

Damn.. took advantage of getting the switch tonight. Tatum had to be at least half of those.

Oh wow didn't realize that. I kind of fell like Celtics are do for a bad 3pt shooting game like a 20%

I wonder if Klay's better game will care over to game 4 or not.

I just disagree with this analysis. no one does this with the Warriors 3rd quarters. process wise doesn't make much sense.

Idk what you’re referring to but what I meant was that Golden State should have never given up a monstrous 40 point 4th quarter that has now left them at 1-2 instead of 2-1.

Re: 2022 NBA Finals: Golden State Warriors vs. Boston Celtics

I'm about to "step in it," but here goes.

First off, I understand there are a million opinions and perspectives on analyzing a game and most are subjective.

My perspective is as someone in their 40's watching GS all my life and having worked in public relations in pro sports (not NBA) in the late 90's and 2000's.

The Boston Celtics (right now) are like that small local bakery with only 5-6 kinds of donuts but they are all made completely fresh from scratch on the hour every day. You have to stand in line for an hour or put your order in the day before, but if you lucky enough to get one it's always high quality. And here's the punch line...that's because the ONLY thing their bakers care about is the donut. Not the sign on the front of the building, not the website, not the colors on the social media app, just the donut and the quality of the donut.

The Dubs (and every great donut company) started out that way too but have now become the (insert national chain) "Everywhere Donuts Are Sold" company. You can get their donuts frozen, in a can, in a box, at a liquor store, in the grocery store and maybe fresh in a few select locations. But the quality has been watered down because they had to take advantage of their early success to expand their brand and maximize their profits.

When your team's stars and coach get so big that they can/will no longer completely focus on "Just Winning," it's the beginning of the end for winning. But sometimes it's a price that has to be paid, especially if the things that now command their attention are worthy of their attention. And that's a choice that has to be made by each individual baker. And we as fans have to respect that. So whether it be moving the home venue to the "wine and cheese" crowd, Curry's TV shows or Draymond's podcasts or anything else...it is what it is.

they were giving wide open shots to good shooters in that game with that quarter. Boston is capable of those just as GSW is capable with their 3rd quarters is what i mean.

Folks gonna treat Boston like “ The Little Engine That Could” if they win it all and it’ll be so annoying for the next few weeks.

Boston is my lifelong enemy and I still want them to win, even if the Warriors are more likeable than they were when they were regularly just beating the Cavs down

They will be unbearable, yes. But also Warriors fans

                        My takeaway:

                        - Why would Kerr take Curry out when hot in the 3rd?
                        - Curry in 4th quarter so far… not good. Those turnovers were killer.
                        - Draymond, please don’t shoot any more 3s. It’s not even close.

I still like the Warriors in this series but winning 3 in a row or 3 of 4 won’t be easy against this team.

I did not think the Horford call on Curry was a foul. I was even more surprised that it was called a flagrant, because at the time, I had the tv muted since I was kinda caking with this chick a little bit and didn’t hear it.

My whole thing is, what is he supposed to do in that situation? It seemed like Horford had his hands and arms straight up on that close out at the perimeter. The way Steph landed and came down just looked so unnatural to me. I saw him try to do something similar later in the game after that point, and the refs didn’t call it. I know y’all will most likely disagree with me, but it looks reminded me of Harden hunting fouls on his jumpshots from the Houston days.

The inconsistency in officiating is what truly annoys me about the game now. Stuff is called one way sometimes, then not another time. Technical fouls or double T’s are often given to guys who didn’t initiate anything. I mean, who is going to hold these referees accountable? Even when they’re admittedly wrong, players or coaches who call them out are fined.

He had 2 rebound or loose ball/50/50 balls where he literally just out jumped Draymond Green. They keep mentioning this guy is hurt [emoji23]. It doesn't seem like it [emoji23]. 20220609_100148.jpg

The other guy I want to mention is Marcus Smart. It was funny too see him go back to the post vs Curry. That must of been a huge talk for them. I haven't seen Smart in the post in years.

I like this Celtics team. I generally like their players (except Grant Williams...haven't liked him since his college days in Tennesee) and they have this great tradition.

But my goodness, major segments of their fanbase are insufferable and it makes rooting for the Celtics impossible (the same can be said for the Patriots and the Red Sox as well).

And then we have the Warriors...who broke the NBA. This is the Finals matchup from the depths of the underworld lol.
