Edit: Horford, Smart, and White combined to shoot 15/23 from deep (65.2 percent).

Couldn't use him in 2K at all for a while. Every shot was contested or blocked lol

He went into options and changed his release to quick

        Immediate takeaways

Boston - They will probably not collectively shoot that well again. Tatum also will likely play better moving forward. Surely they won’t start more games off leaving Curry wide open like that.

Warriors - they scored well enough but giving up that massive 4th obviously killed them. It’s hard to really judge their performance because if you would have known before the game you’d get Curry - 34, Wiggins - 20, Klay - 15, drop 108 points with decent bench scoring you’d probably take that.. but that massive 4th quarter makes it look like not getting much from Dray or Poole really hurt them, when in reality it probably shouldn’t have mattered. Boston has been averaging 107 a game in the post season and Tatum was off tonight. Golden State should have done enough to get the win.

Curry came to play fo real. Wiggins and Looney had his back with their hustle and effort. Iggy and OPJ off the bench was awesome. But then...

I don't even know where to start. There were numerous plays where Draymond was walking back on defense. At one point Big Al hit a 3 as Draymond walked across the paint towards him. He was just terrible. Terrible.

Poole was awful. Awful. I don't understand why Kerr didn't go to someone else like Bjelica or even Kuminga because Poole didn't have it in the 2nd quarter and he was terrible in the 4th. Constantly arguing with the refs and complaining while playing like trash. Kerr needed to press the panic button after the first 2 minutes of the 4th quarter and he didn't.

And then Klay just couldn't get it going. Just couldn't get it going.

Curry looked so dejected after the game and I don't blame him. He looks to his left and Green is out to pasture. He looks to his right and Klay is somewhere out on the bay in his boat. He looks behind him and Poole is getting the ball taken away by Smart. Smart just took it from him. Just took it from him.

Kevin Durant had a great night.

On the other hand the Warriors have had a 117.1 Off rating in the playoffs, so -9 (not exactly) is an excellent number for the Celtics.

But just one game. Lots of fun to come.

Panic button after the first 2 minutes of the 1st quarter? Come on dude.

Same thing happened to us with Fred Van Vleet. His son was born during the ECF and as the backup PG he lit us up in the Finals. We never took him seriously and he lit us up. History is repeating itself. '

Also FWIW another rookie head coach in the Finals (first Ty Lue then Nick Nurse) is taking Kerr to the woodshed for a spanking. History repeating itself.

Draymond...feel free to play defense on someone and not just stand in the center of the paint hoping that the Celtics miss playing 5-on-4. Oh I'm sorry, maybe you're busy with another emergency podcast or you need to spend more time in the film room with Chuck and Shaq at TNT studios. I get it. There must be levels to this.

Sorry I edited it...typo. I meant to say 4th quarter. We didn't score a bucket in 1st 2 minutes of the 4th quarter.

It's not wrong to have they won't shoot this well again but every time we've said that it's happened again. sometimes shooting variance doesn't normalize in a single series. I think one adjustment for the dubs is not be as aggressive on tatum because that's what lead to alot of open 3s. His passing was elite even though his shot wasn't there.

Maybe I'm guilty of the hot takes I criticize, but Game 2 feels like a must win now for GSW. I see them winning it, but this added some extra pressure when it didn't need to be.

Sometimes nothing normalizes..We could be waiting on that keyTatum game all series while he continues to make the right plays

That’s why “player/team X won’t do X again” is my least favorite form of basketball analysis, lol

I think game 2 is a must win its not easy to come back down 0-2 and really hard if you are also down 0-2 going on the road.

I think the end of the 3rd and first few minutes of the 4th is when things really started to get away from GS. Even though GS had a 12 point lead going into the 4th they didn't finish the 3rd well. They really should have been up 16-18 going into the 4th.

Boston shooting that well and with Tatum having that bad of a game is just about impossible. But it's also unlikely he does have that bad of a game, and what if he goes crazy next game and gets 40? You could just like that be in a big 0-2 hole. It's never good to give away a game and I think it's clear GS gave away tonights game. Yeah it should't have came down to that and you can't take 1 game to mean too much even in the playoffs has you can see such a big difference from one game to the next. I know Green and looney are not known for scoring but they where 3-16 shooting and than you add Pole and his 2-7 that hurts a lot. If you have 2 of your starters go 3-16 and your 6th man go 2-7 that means 5-23 from those guys. You need a little bit better than that.

Good game last night from both teams.

It also made me remember how much you can enjoy the game without watching any type of pre/postgame coverage where they’re spewing the same “hot take analysis” over and over.

Would also be nice to not have to hear or see KD’s name after every single game.

Had family and friends over for last night's game. Oh man good times and an even better game.

Celtics defense took charge in that 4th quarter. Couldn't get Curry going to keep up.
