Re: December Games Discussion Thread
I like what they did. But Detroit exposed the same problems I've been talking about since that Boston game. They don't know how to handle the ball when double teamed. Teams are not going to just sit there and let your isolate all night long.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Lakers went to **** when Dennis fouled out. Ham playing two guys who’ve left the game with injuries and a rookie just to not play Russ in the closing minutes.Comment

Re: December Games Discussion Thread
Even though AD was always going to get hurt, it's tough to see the potential that this team had with just a couple of minor tweaks to the roster around a healthy big two.
I'm not one who loves everything about modern basketball, but I have to admit that the talent level throughout the league is insanely high.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: December Games Discussion Thread
It’s always funny watching teams run at Reaves or switch/double off Reaves and let him get all the pull-ups, floaters, etc that he wants. Obviously it’s different when you hit the league, and maybe he just has that token white guy shooter label, but he’s always been able to score. He was All-Big 12, finished like a point or two behind Cade Cunningham in ppg, was dropping 70 pieces on teams when he was in HS..
Obviously the league is different, but given that he’s never been a supreme level athlete at any level he’s pretty much always had a very well rounded offensive repertoire. He has touch from everywhere, his issue was always just going to be creating space, getting past his man, being strong with the ball, etc at this level. It seems often times teams are willing to just give that up, which at this point just kinda seems like really poor scouting.
Up until recently he was over 40% from 3 this year. Still a solid 38% now. Maybe teams are just tying to give him anything but a 3. Feels like maybe the Lakers need to use him as the guy screening for Bron more often. Washington doubled hard, and chased the big pretty much giving Reaves the entire paint to work with. Lonnie Walker was hobbling on one leg, Christie pretty much just standing out of the action. Yet they still had Porzingis on Reaves and left him on the doubles.. really poor defensive game-plan from the Wizards late.Comment
