Western Conference Starting PG... Who should it be?

Don't let his injury make you think that he isn't a contender for the starting job at this year's All-Star game in Atlanta. Even if he doesn't get voted as the starter by NBA fans, I'm sure the coaches will vote him on.

Steve Francis had one of the worst All-Star performances ever last year. I think the fans are going to go with somebody other than Stevie Franchise this time.

Gary Payton is playing. He's trying not to let his anger with management get in the way of leading the Sonics. But it's only a matter of time before he explodes and it all goes sour for Seattle.

Re: Western Conference Starting PG... Who should it be?

Gary Payton is still the best PG in the west.

Bibby will probably make the All Star team no matter what just because his reputation is so much higher after his playoff performance , just like I'm sure Ben Wallace will make the East All Star team just because he deserved it last year , and was DPOY but overlooked.

So chances Bibby will be in Atlanta even if he isn't having the best season.

actually payton realizes that he can't expect to have that much security and I would be very surprised if he explodes, the dude is getting older and much more mature.

Gary Payton is still one of the top PG's out west. He should be there if he keeps his head on straight. I would be upset too if the only team I've ever played for decided not to offer me a contract extension. Payton has been loyal to that team and I think they should reward him for it.

Re: Western Conference Starting PG... Who should it be?

its easy to say that, but with a much younger jason kidd in FA next year, its tough to pass on a shot at J-kidd.

Jason Kidd will most likely be in a New Jersey uniform next season. He has already made that clear. For the record, Jason Kidd isn't getting any younger but he continues to amaze everyone. Hands down, Kidd is the best point guard in the L. From what I know and what I've seen, Mike Bibby will be his successor only with a better jumpshot.

bibby did CRAP in Vancouver. I dont give a crap now about his play either, even though its impressive to some, it doesnt impress me. My vote this year will have to be Steve Francis.

It's alittle early though to make this thread for votes.

Bibby shouldnt even get vted on the all star team on the basis that he will be out 2 months.

Personally, I would do a better job in the All-Star game than Steve Francis. People who watch basketball won't want to see Francis embarrassing himself again come All-Star weekend. I think it's funny that you comment on Mike when you don't know anything about his career. He was by far the best player in Vancouver at the time but it's hard to win games when your surrounded by deadbeat players with the lack to work hard. I know Mike personally and it wasn't easy for him, his family, and friends to watch him lose year after year. The guy had an awesome team at Shadow Mountain in H.S., then again at Zona. I'll I can say is that he has proven what he has to the world what I already knew he had all along.
