    Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline

The Miami Heat have emerged as leaders to sign five-"time All-Star Kevin Love after he completes buyout with Cleveland, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Interested teams believe Miami's ability to offer a defined role and playoff positioning are leading factors."

"ESPN Sources: Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers have completed a contract buyout. The Miami Heat are a frontrunner to sign Love, but he plans to talk to the Philadelphia 76ers before making a decision."

I was somewhat BSing when I said that about Love. I didn't think it was an option for them. But, I still stand on what I said, he'd best the better option than Trez, Reed or Dedmon. If you're going to be bad on defense when Embiid is off the court, might as well have a legit scoring option that can still rebound

I still say it'll be Miami. He'll definitely have a bigger role and more minutes with Miami. It doesn't make as much sense for him to go to Philly as he's going to be the backup 5 while also reducing Niang and Tuckers minutes as well. Doc likes to go all Bench, you can't have Niang and Love out there. I can see Doc putting out an all Offense lineup that is incredibly slow and horrible on defense lol

I guess it was the salary over the past several years. No one wanted to trade for $27m+ for what he brought at that point.

I'm definitely okay with the idea of not getting Love for the Sixers. It didn't really seem like a fit. Only positive would've been that he would really help on rebounding, which the Sixers are terrible at. But other than that, there wasn't a fit. Miami had a need at PF, we didn't.

I'm thinking, I rather have Cody Zeller than Trez lol. In theory, Dedmon can still protect rim and rebound. But, I can already see Doc over playing Dedmon and losing games because he's getting torched on switches and PNR

If Russ plays more than 15 minutes a game and closes games for them and the somehow find a way to win the Title then the Clippers will have finally actually earned the respect that they have been given by many all these years for no reason.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Damn we can’t even get Russ over here. I was down for seeing how that would have worked out. Oh well guess I’m gonna have to deal with Pat Bev bum *** coming home maybe?

I like Russ on the Clipps, they've needed a playmaker since putting that team together and I think he's the perfect fit next to Zubac. In terms of overall moves, idk if they will miss Jackson's ability to hit some huge shots late in playoff games with having Russ in that spot.. But being healthy will fix a lot of that too.

Clippers should have the deepest team in the league by a large margin. Obviously you have to account for health, fit of all the pieces, etc.. But the amount of guys you'd expect to play solid on both ends and get you 10+ every night is pretty staggering.

PG, Kawhi, Powell, Gordon, Morris, Zubac, Russ, Batum.. Any of those guys having a "solid" game wouldn't be out of the ordinary, it's just what they do. Wouldn't be one of those situations were "well our 8th man was left open and just had the hot hand tonight", like all of these guys have to be defended, they are all experienced but not cooked, they could all get you double digits on most rosters in the league.

After that group young guys like Bones, and Mann who can play, and added Plumlee for a solid rotation big.

No other team has ALL that, IMO.

A perfect fit. Both have similar reverence-to-success ratios. Only difference is Russ stays healthy. But they both have "next year/team they'll figure it out and win" vibes

Meh, Bucks signing Myers Leonard to a 10 day contract.

Appears he has amended his ways.

We do need a big back up with the status of Giannis in limbo.

We shall see how this works out for the Bucks.

Twitter is exploding since the Woj bomb.
