This is also the most engaged the Lakers have looked in a first quarter in about two years. Idk why but one of their biggest issues regardless of roster/health is ridiculously lackluster first quarters.

Memphis looks shook currently. It’s wild to see them to not be able to match energy to this degree. That’s one thing they do incredibly well, they win lots of games where they don’t even play that great just because they usually play with the most energy.. similar to SAC.

Yahoo has the win probability at 94% for the Lakers after the 1st quarter. If they end up losing does Yahoo owe money or something? Those numbers are some made up nonsense lol.

Rui for Nunn was an alright trade at first, but man it looks like a home run since the start of the playoffs. He’s learned a lot it seems in the short time he’s been there. Has pretty much replaced the loss of Kuz with better mid-range shot creation and less rebounding..

Think the ultimate take away here is you need vets on your team for young guys to learn from. Washington never really provided that consistently. Seems like the confidence he’s gotten from Bron, AD, Ham (former player) has given his career a fresh start. Actually looks like a top 10 pick.

I was watching NHL playoffs during that Heat blowout, yeah. Might catch some of that fight too.
