    Re: 10/24 - 11/6 Games Discussion Thread

I hate stats like that. I agree with everything you said about the comparison, but who is Wemby guarding? Does that stat only count direct matchups or is it counting help defense? From what I've seen thus far (and what I expect) is that the Spurs use Wemby as a roamer. He's not a guy you put on the opponent's best scorer and ask him to slow him down; you put Wemby on the opponent's weakest offensive threat and ask Wemby to help on everyone else.

And depending on how they are calculating that stat, it could be a near meaningless stat

No BI. Thunder are all over Zion. Definitely a few fouls. I expect a come back [emoji23].

Hawkins has been great for the Pels. Defense has been top notch. Shooting is still waiting to come around

All valid points. But if the team defense improves (they were dog**** last season) and his 'contesting/presence' is the only big change in the roster, then clearly he is making an impact.

The sample size and season is too early to make a definitive argument. I was using it more as a point to show the defensive potential Wemby possesses (which we all heard about endlessly in the Summer), while Bol Bol has never even shown an inclination of being an average defender.

(Probably should move this convo to the off-topic thread if it needs to continue. We both made valid points and probably agree with each other, anyway.)

Pistons (and Magic) are my sleepers for the playoffs. Both are just loaded with talent, whole Ausar fills a need as a potential defensive stopper, cutter (off-ball scorer), and 'connective passer.'

He was a great pick for what the needed and where they picked, IMO.

And if he can develop his individual shot-creation, shooting, and ball handling then look out!

You called it. Big comeback at the half.

Oh yeah we in agreement. Comparing Bol Bol to Wemby is laughable. Wemby as a roamer improves the defense because he cares, with Bol Bol I get the impression that when someone beat their man he has that "it wasn't my man" mindset a little bit.

Raptors lose to the Blazers and then somehow are beating the Bucks 48 hours later?

Pels back in the lead. Zion figured they been walling up in him

Detroit ****ing around with Blazers. Close game here. Good to see Joe Harris out there.

Speaking of that the Nets SMH
