I know they can have multiple uses because I have a friend who's daughter has one that can detect when she's about to have a seizure. So I get it to an extent for things like that. But too many people just have these "emotional support" dogs so they can take a pet wherever they want. It's getting a little out of hand like Pack said.
dogs are crazy like that, I had a little dog that could sense his own seizures and tried to bark at them, he legitimately found a way to fight them off (took a few years suffering through it, but little dude seemed to actually figure it out)
