Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
I like the Wolves because they have an identity and built a team around it. A long energetic athletic team that plays swarming defense, but also has more than enough offensive firepower to go shot for shotComment

Denver bench is awful but If they get MPJ usual output they win that game. He's the one they couldn't afford to disappear. He was 22 PPG in the Lakers series. He can't be this one dimensional. Aaron Gordon too but that's reliant on Jokic creating for him.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

My guess is the Twins back in the late 80's or early 90's. Can't remember them having any other success recently.Comment

Man I had some bad takes in this thread...congrats to Minnesota. I wanted them to win but didn't expect it AT ALL. They have so many players that are so easy to make fun of and feel sorry for (in terms of hoops) it's just amazing as a fan to watch these last 2 series actually happen. Their fans must be on Cloud 9.
They send Joker home early and take away the Laker's excuse of "at least we lost to the champs" all in one furious 2nd half comeback.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Of the 52 or so cities in the big 4, Minnesota teams have gone 120 seasons without a title (I think it's 121 since it didn't include this current NHL season)
It's a 32 year drought which puts them behind Buffalo, Cincinnati and Charlotte as the cities with multiple pro teams that have the longest title droughts.Comment

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Gobert along with Towns won them that game. and Jokic playing that much reared it's ugly head at the end. they got those Orebs because he was just gone spent. if mpj and Aaron Gordon just have a normal scoring game this is a wrap but Denver got no production outside it's top 2. people said all year that Denver can still win without shooting variance because of Jokic but they were a poor 3 point shooting team all playoffs and it finally costed them.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
